How much pairs per API?

In the Telegram group and in this forum, I've read that people use 30 till 50 pairs with one API. I think Gunthar wrote somewhere that only 17 pairs per API are recommended, because otherwise Poloniex will ban your IP. Can somebody say if it's ok to run so many pairs per API? If yes, I don't have to send Gunthar many more APIs for enabling.

I did runs from 10 to 50 pairs with the same API, no problems whatsover. I am now using 30 pairs with it.

Actually, I'm using the same API generated 45+ days ago. Never got banned, just the same 422 and very very few 429.

I don't think this 17 pairs/API is a hard limit. Maybe a recommendation.

But bear in mind that the next release of GB should address this problems.

I remember reading somewhere that anything more than 6 API requests per second is dangerous. Not sure how many API calls GUNBOT uses per cycle, though.

I just found the answer:

If you go higher than 20-25 pairs, I suggest you use 2 or more different API keys: you don't have to pay for it, you can generate new API keys and send them to me to be added to your license. Beware tho: do not abuse exchanges limits, we are welcome at exchanges with our bots because we generate fees, but the system needs to be workable for everyone.

i run 58 pairs on polo and 81 on bittrex and it work sience more than 1 week, without errors (;

kraken make sometimes more problems (;
but kraken dont have so much pairs

I'm only running 8 pairs on 1 API key and I'm getting 422 out the ying-yang. I've implemented the ALLPAIRS-params suggestions and restarted all my bots, also upgrading to the latest 3.3.2, and I'm still getting 422 every 5-8 cycles.
