GunBot GUI freezing occasionally on AWS
« on: June 20, 2018, 09:57:08 PM »
I'm currently running gunthy-gui on an AWS T2-Micro Ubuntu instance in Seoul, and I've noticed that the log seems to freeze, seeming like the bot is sitting there doing nothing. Stopping and starting the bot did not work, so I actually had to SSH in and kill Gunthy-Gui, restart it and the issue seems fixed. I'm looking through the logs right now and trying to find the timestamp where this happened.

This issue has happened twice to me. Has anyone had issues like this with GunBot? Is this perhaps just an error with the GUI?

EDIT: I had no problems running on a dedicated server here in California for a month, only when I switched to AWS's Seoul datacenter.

Just an update for those lurking here...

I switched to Contabo hosting as recommended by a lot of the gunbot guys, and I have to say I've never been happier.

ping www.binance.com gives me 7ms response times, slower than the AWS I had in Seoul of 2ms (cuz it's closer to China). But I'll settle for reliability until I can experiment with AWS instances a little more.

Happy trading guys!
