trying to trade, been running a day, BBs at 25/25 and 24/27, still always just says "price too high" on trex BTC/ETH
Tried typing in FTC/BTC but it errored out.  Suggestions?

I get the same thing running BB band with the same info....had only 3 or 4 trades the first day but nothing since....seems my buy prices are actually below the low band....is this correct?

" When you create a new API key, everything needs to be enabled but withdrawal and deposit: as long as you don't enable those 2 options, you are safe using the bot, none will ever be able to access your account and move your assets out of the exchanges..."

When I generated my API key on Bittrex, I had my "withdraw" button enabled.  Should I be concerned?  Do I need to disable "withdraw" and generate a new API key?

If gunbot works as in the previous releases it will not work as it is checking the setting (or so it was saying in Gunthar's post), however you can always go back to your API key and change the setting for withdraw to 'no' and you should be good to go.

You don't really need montoring - up to some level.
I guess Gunthar is slowly getting out the interface development (which is time consuiming), and concentrating on the engine itself.
I think it's a good decision (if some others provide the interface, sold as "add-on").

But Gunbot 5.0.4 displays all what it does (in verbose=true), and when it'll take decision, and what it buys or sells.

There is no log, no sum of what has been gained, no history, etc.

I check my marketplace orders list and wallets, to have an history, or calculate whatever I wish.

Hello people, im very noob with this bot and i dont have any Code idea, so its been a little bit difficult to me to understand this bot. But i think i have it configured but its not making any buy or sell. Every time the price coin reaches Buy or Sell level, the bot just set it lower or higher and it doesnt do the operation,
I let 12 hours running and he only bought 3 PAY, total 0.001 BTC, when the limit is set to 0.08 oer trade. I really dont understand. If you dont mind, i let the code for you to see if there is something weird or wrong why my bot is not doing anything.

edit: the bot just sold 100 LISK i had manualy bought this morning, at the price of 0.001475000 when the market was 0.00148542 so this bot is doing something weird. can you please help me?

1) do NOT do manual trade while trying to understand the bot, Einstein ;-)

2) try the bot first on ONE SINGLE pair, and pick one that CLIMBS, not ARK for instance: wrong choice

3) use EASY parameters, BB with 15/15 is far too extreme bottom and tops, yes, you'll probably end up buying nothing or selling nothing. Try 30/30 at least, or 30/40.

4) allow SMALL trading amount, like maybe 0.01

Also set BOT_DELAY to 30 for example - I don't know this parameter, Gunthar provided no info AFAIK, but 1 is too fast.


The idea is not to earn, but to learn.

If you won't manage to understand how it works, I'm sorry but the bot won't probably make you decent gains (apart if you've a ton of money, maybe...) ;-)

I feel that Oskaka is onto something. I have observed, after running v3.3 (vanilla, small tweak to BB to 40/40) that the Price to Buy drops as the Last Price value decreases, thereby after 24 hours of execution the bot can't reach the Price to Buy value to commence its first trade. I've messaged Gun to see if he can shed some more light on this... could be normal expected behavior for all I know.

Hello, I am new to the gunbot. I have read a few topic regarding the BB strategy but I have some doubts.

Why if the buy level is x% above the low bb line, the buy price is lower than the low level shown in the bot monitor.

Low Bollinger Band 0.11723380 — High Bollinger Band 0.12189660
Last Price: 0.1215 —— Price to buy: 0.11597824296533338 —— Price to sell: 0.1207309


From what I have read the price to buy should be x% above the lower bb line, the buy price should be higher than the low bb value.
Sure I misunderstood something, so please if someone could clarify this for me, that would be great.

Hi Chile!

No, the buying price is from ZERO, UP TO (or, at a maximum of) LowBB + x%

So the buying price is in between, for example, 0 and LowBB+30%

The idea is that you set the maximum price to buy. The lower the better (you can even set -30% if you wish), but the lower the rarer it'll be able to buy...

Not sure to understand, and not sure how it works, sorry.

I'd say :

* if the last ASK price is equal or below your LowBB+x%, it should take the last ASK as the target price (and logically, it buys)

* if not, then if the GAIN "BUY_LEVEL" (x% under the SMA or EMA1/2 I'm not sure), is equal or below your LowBB+x%, it should take the BUY_LEVEL% as the target price

* if not, then LowBB+x% should be the target price

Something like this maybe... please search in forum, there are explanations somewhere I guess? Or wait for confirmation, I'm a rookie here ;-)
