Gunbot running for 24H hasn't buy anything

Hello,

I have a question, i am running gunbot v5.0.4 for 24hours straight right now on bittrex, with about 6 pairs. My settings are BB on all pairs for buy and sell, with HIGH BB: 29 and LOW BB: 21. But so far gunbot hasn't bought anything! Is this normal? Or am i doing something wrong?

It's running like you set it. If there was no oportunity to buy, the bot will not buy. It is not only dependent on the strategy you selected, you need to choose oportune pairs. That is actually the magic of it, the bot has no impatience. It is a logic operator. If market data meets set strategy, it buys or sells, if not it stays put. I've had it run 36 hours without any trade during last week, it was a lame market and I selected lame pairs. I would suggest you find at least one pair with enough volatility and observe the bot. You should change settings or even strategies to see how they affect you overall gains. Then try to find more profitable pairs and add them in the mix. OTOH, you could go balls out and just select 20 or so most traded pairs and endure on your strategy.
BTW, I would disable DOUBLE UP until you learn about the bots features in detail (how they work). Just delete true and type in false.

i've done a pretty extensive set of tests trying to get 5 to buy and simply gave up. i really want to use 5 along with gunthygui, but just can't get 5 to buy.

i've considered laying out everything i've done to prove for myself that my 5 won't buy, but it's a lot to type up just to prove to the community that i'm not just being impatient. there's definitely something going on with 5 and i've found a couple of threads about it not buying in addition to this one.

not sure what to do and in the meantime am using my original purchase of 3.3.2 which continues to buy and sell everyday.

I have told to look at your settings. My bot (v.504) has gone through the capital completely, making a cuple of buys per day, and this on Kraken, of all places ... The market is bearish, low bb needs to be set accordingly. It's not for the faint hearted, because it can lead to some serious bags. All the pairs are on bbstepgain. Meaning, I use bb to buy. If I can buy with bb on Kraken, you must be able to do this on a whim on Bittrex.

Same here. 3 days no buys in GB XT. To be fair, I'm only running 2 pairs on Stepgain though (LCT & ETH).
I'm tempted to load up 20 pairs just to test it out. How the heck do I run more than one config at once?

It seems the settings in the .js file are global and apply to all pairs.
So what happens if I want to have LTC running a risky BB strategy and ETH running a conservative BB strategy???

How would I accomplish this??

Im running about 30 pairs the last 3-4 days on gunbot XT... included in that were LTC and ETH... the bot made a couple of hundred trades but none were on BTC-LTC and BTC-ETH. But I dont often find them particulary good pairs to trade with tbh.  For me BTC-OMG did a lot of Trades, BTC-XST also BTC-ARK, BITB, POWR etc

The bot is your partner, you do the thinking and it does the heavy lifting. You have to learn how to work with the bot through experience. Use the minimum amount of coin and choose one or two pairs, avoiding coins that are in clear decline, and those that are getting sudden pumps. Look for a coin that has a nice wave in it's chart with an upward trend (not a sharp spike). Then choose a strategy and experiment with the settings.  Analyse the results of your experiment and then move on to a new experiment. Every fuck up will teach you a lesson and the more fuck ups you make the closer you come to understanding the bot and how to work with it.

I will share two observations I have made in this sector.
1: Those who achieve gunbot enlightenment have only done so because they persevered while others gave up.
2: There are two types of people trading crypto-currency. The patient and the impatient, the former make money and the later loose it.

Using override. Make one bb conservative startegy for ETH and put the offending parameters with the aggressive settings of the strategy into LTCs override. Or the other way arround ...

got a bronze pack licence 5 days ago from  https://gunbot.shop (for MAC)  and had set it as described on Wiki (the new Gunbot XT Edition for Bittrex). Since then I had not even one trade with BB. I checked my settings many times but can't find an error.  Could someone help me?

what exactly did you check? there is nothing to check, your check is a successful trade. you need to see if your chosen pair moves enough to trigger a buy or trade at all with your settings. if not, settings may need to be adjusted or, better, tuned from time to time. tradeview is your friend. paste your strategy here, and a couple of pairs you are running. let's see what you are up to.
