Trying to redo my back deck and stuck between composite boards and classic cedar. Tacoma weather throws everything at you all year and I don’t want to replace warped or splintered boards in a couple years. Trying to set up my old family cabin in the Black Hills to run off solar, and I’m way out of my depth here. The cabin’s off-grid and gets a decent amount of sun, but the winters hit hard and shade from the pines is no joke. Anyone know what panels and batteries actually hold up out there? I’d rather not burn through a generator all winter.
