I know this thread is a bit old, but I wanted to chime in. Yes, IFR training totally changes how you fly VFR. It forces you to be super precise with altitude and heading, and you get way better at planning ahead and using radio skills. Even on a clear day, I feel much more in control and safer. What specific VFR skill did you find improved the most after your IFR training?

A lot of outdoor seating now comes with water-resistant cushions, but I'm wondering how practical that really is with frequent rain. Do you still bring the cushions inside after every use, or can decent outdoor cushions handle occasional showers without problems? The current egg-chair range uses water-resistant cushions and UV-protected baskets.
