Are Water-Resistant Cushions Enough for UK Weather?

A lot of outdoor seating now comes with water-resistant cushions, but I'm wondering how practical that really is with frequent rain. Do you still bring the cushions inside after every use, or can decent outdoor cushions handle occasional showers without problems? The current egg-chair range uses water-resistant cushions and UV-protected baskets.

I’ve been using water-resistant cushions through a few British summers and found they can handle a light drizzle, but anything heavy soaks right through
Do you think the egg-chair UV baskets actually help with drying out, or do they just trap dampness underneath?

I own the egg chair outdoor model from that range, and the water-resistant cushions hold up fine in light drizzle but not in heavy, lasting rain
After a full downpour, they still feel damp, so I bring mine inside overnight
For quick showers, leaving them out is fine. If you want a durable option, the egg chair outdoor is worth looking at for its UV protection and easy-care fabric
