Gas Blowback or CO₂ pistol—which is the better choice for regular skirmishes?

I'm looking for my first airsoft sidearm and can't decide between a gas blowback (GBB) pistol and a CO₂-powered model. I mainly play outdoor skirmishes, but I also visit indoor CQB sites occasionally. I'm interested in reliability, recoil, maintenance, magazine costs, and performance in different temperatures. For those who have used both systems, which one would you recommend and why?

I’d go GBB for realistic feel and cooldown issues, but CO₂ performs better in cold weather. For your mix of outdoor and CQB, consider both. I’ve found reliable airsoft guns that cover all types and budgets—good for comparing specs before buying.
