Reference material quest
« on: August 07, 2021, 03:07:50 PM »
I guess I'm still a noob, but I am finding that the terms that are in the wiki are not clicking with me. I appreciate the Acronyms section, but is there a glossary anywhere? Anything similar to the Various section on the Wiki would be fantastic.

I am finding I am in need of a reference book or something. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi IdahoDigital,

I don't think there is more reference material available other than the wiki ...

I also still consider myself a newbie, but I learned a lot by just trying out different strategies with very small amounts of money.
When the bot is running, I like to sit there and just watch what it does. Trying to understand its actions. Playing around with parameters and seeing its effect.
Sometimes I download the trades from Binance and go through the data to see exactly what the bot did.

Reading the wiki thoroughly also helped me a lot.

Are there any specific terms in the wiki that you don't understand?

Cheers,
Philippe

I guess I am looking for solutions to a sudden falling price. It bagged me up with ETH 3 months ago and have not been able to exit.

I experimented with reversal trading, but it sold on the drop and then would not buy until it was above where it sold. Lot to learn or is something screwed up?

My advise: If you are starting to run Gunbot and you don't know how RT works, stay away from it as it's not easy to understand and a lot of people don't understand the trades the bot does for this reason. Try with DCA as it's much more easy to understand.
