3.3.2 IS RUNNING BUT NOT BUYING

Hey Fellas,

Anyone know what I should look into when the bot is running but not buying anything? 

I was running 3.3.5 and it buys the moment I turn it on.  3.3.2 is not doing anything after 10 hours.

I noticed that the my buy price is always 1-3% lower than the lower bollinger bands.  So it is always trailing and never between the high and the low BB.

Any ideas on what to do? Thx!

Have you tried to tweak the BB settings? Posting your config here without api secret would be good as well to troubleshoot

I am apparently running into to same problem with a fresh install of GB 3.3.2 .

What is happening is that the Buy Price is always lower than the calculated Low Bollinger Band so it never get bought in the first place ;-(

Here is my current config from the gui.

Could you please guide me as I'd like to have the GB being ;-)

I'm a newbie who's been obsessively using v3.3.2 for a few weeks; so take my advice for what it's worth.  It may be because you have the Buy Level set to 3; so for your bot to make a purchase, the price has to be below the Low BB price and 3% lower than the EMA.  Maybe the price recently dropped and with the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) putting more weight on the newer data points the trend line decreased and making your waiting for a purchase.  The bot may have been waiting for the trend to level or turn around before making a purchase.

I have buy level set to 3, what do u recommend?

I run it anywhere between 2 and 3; depending on how confident I am in the coin.  For coins I don't fear plummeting any minute, I put it at 2, 3 for those I'm middle of the road, and 4 for those that had a recent run up.

If I were you, I'd move it to 2 and see what it does to your buy price.

Ive exactly the same problem on  a new install, does anyone have a work round or is there a patch?

In 3.3.2 BB uses GAIN strategy until it has completed it's "metal image" of the bands. With default timings of 60s and 120s this can take 5-10 hours to occur. Until calculation is complete GAIN is used exclusively.

60s - 120s * 300 polls -> 18000 - 36000 seconds / 3600s/hr = 5 - 10 hours.

To test you could hot config 0.6 in the buy/sell of GAIN to cover 0.5 fees and you should see more frequent buys and/or sells.
