Has the Creator Economy Become Too Competitive for New Creators?
« on: September 23, 2026, 11:15:07 AM »
Creator platforms have grown massively, but the number of people trying to earn from content has increased at the same time. With OnlyFans reporting 4.63 million creator accounts and 377.5 million cumulative fan accounts for FY2024, do new creators still have realistic opportunities to build an audience, or has standing out become significantly harder?

Honestly, the numbers tell a pretty clear story. OnlyFans has 4.63 million creators but 377.5 million fans, so the ratio is challenging. Still, the platform paid out $5.80 billion to creators last year, which shows real opportunity. New creators can find their audience if they pick a specific niche and stay consistent. The competition is real, but it filters out people who aren't serious.
