General Discussion / How can I get the original licence (2017) restored?

I am one of the 2017 OGs. I havent used gunbot for more than 4 years. I am ready to restart. Back then, I bought on bitify and telegramed Gun to apply API keys to the bot (no licence key per se). I paid 0.1 BTC and was advertised as a lifetime licence. How do I get an actual licence key that I could use with the current version of the bot?

What is the logic of this random API?

1. once a pair has been locked into a certain API does it lock-in indefinitely?
2. does it try a new one if current fails?
3. does it try to equally distribute to all keys?

Version 3.3.2

I am not sure if this is a bug or if its the bot doing its magic. The number of decimals are off for the displayed LP.

Here is a case where;
Thelast price was 0.0204
The GAIN price to buy is 0.019646333
but in the underlined,  the last price is displayed as 204.000 and GAIN price to buy as 196.4633...

Is this normal/expected behaviour?

I have set up this strategy on some of the coins. Not a bad idea - if the stepgain algo works like it should.  I think it should be able to handle (and profit nicely) form spikes (e.g. selling STEPLVL 3!, I hope). Will report if anything interesting occurs.

Gunthar, after our discussion on Telegram and your explanations, I have set the following in ALLPAIRS:

   MAX_LATEST_PRICES:100,
   MAX_LATEST_DIRECTIONS:30,
   MAX_LATEST_PRICES_TREND:100,

I am now getting "expected" percentages, here are percentages from the last 3 days trades:

4.15%
2.66%
4.82%
1.68%
10.56%
2.58%
7.93%
25.08%
3.12%
8.82%
3.42%
4.66%
9.06%
5.23%
2.59%
5.18%
7.76%
5.93%
4.89%

I am assuming you do this by adding those lines on ALL PAIRS?
Secondly, if you do so, do these override the settings on the pair-config?

Did you find  - "Level to use" for STEPGAIN and  - "Best currencies settings" in the 3.3.2?
Did you see the opening screen where you put in keys?
That would be interesting because I am sure I dont see them. I am still in need of an answer regarding these issues.

There was no opening screen for me. I had to input the data in the top right of the GUI (windows, going to switch to Linux once I've gotten my head around it!), underneath the currency pair and market. I can screenshot if you like?

Sounds like a similar experience to mine. I just setup a windows VPS. Tried following on the linux instructions but I got lost somewhere.  I will eventually get around this. I just want to start this thing! I think our observations are a normal part of the new version?? I hope Gun can comment

Hi Gun,

Great job by the way! I love the promise of this product - I havent started using it yet.   .

I have a few issues with my v3.3.

I downloaded from here: https://github.com/GuntharDeNiro/BTCT/releases/download/Gunbot3.3.2/GUNBOT_v3.3.2_Poloniex_Bittrex_Patch.zip

Here are my issues:

1. I do not get the welcome screen (API Keys Input) when I open. It launches straight into the settings.
2a. My GUI looks a bit different and its missing a few settings that I saw on the tutorial, for example:
 - "Level to use" for STEPGAIN
 - "Best currencies settings"

2b. The STOP, START, LOAD, SAVE panel is nested weirdly in the centre-right (image attached below)
2c. It also has no scroll bars on small screens which is a pain.

I am running Windows 10 build 1703.

I am ready to run it but I just want to confirm if all these symptoms are bad. I have a phobia for rogue bots...  Thanks.

Hi Gun, I would appreciate if you provided some insight whenever you get a chance. Anyone else have any ideas?
