+1 on this. The DOUBLE_UP feature needs some safety configuration options. Like DOUBLE_UP_LIMIT, (how many times it will do it), and DOUBLE_UP_PCT: X (how much % price must have fallen from original bought before double buy will happen)

I think TRADING_LIMIT is a limit to buy, not a limit to sell.
USDT is considered here primary coin and BTC altcoin, so the bot will sell all the altcoin and then buy using the trading limit.

Just my understanding. Not sure at all.

Anyone to confirm ?

I am experiencing the same errors with BBSTEPGAIN @poloniex pairs.
Nevertheless it is not happening all the time. After some time passed the exact same pair brings up no error of an undefined function. Maybe it has something to to, if the bot wants to sell and there are no altcoins to sell?! I assume something like this.

There is definetly something wrong with the bbstepgain strategy. I assume it is mainly happening when the bot trys to buy/sell. Right now I watched the bot, while trying to make some trade/buys (ETH_ETC), with enough ETH in stock, and throwing out the Error on strategy BB_STEPGAIN for ETH_ETC on poloniex while getting ema2 -\ Error: undefined is not a function

Have experienced the exact same error also with the BB strategy.

Same errors for me on Pure BB, bittrex

Morevover, would it be possible for the bot not to stop unexpectedly every minute ?

First time it worked a few hours (almost 4 !), then a few minutes, then 30 sec (more or less)

I suppose I should go back to V. 3.3.2 


PS : noob error : I mixed bittrex and kraken and it generates a lot or errors. As always kraken fucked everything. Launching the bot independently for each exchange solves the problem... at least for bittrex

1000trades not available from version 3.3.3 onwards, however you can use ping pong strategy

but pingpong is jumping between fixed price whereas 1000 trade is more flexible.
is there a way to mimic the strategy in some way? or what strategy do you recommend?

Unfortunately, from my short experience, Pingpong is not jumping between fixed prices, otherwise I would have made some gains (as for manual trades) instead of 0. It's probably "dynamic" somehow. Just a supposition.

I have read all the thread but I can assure you that for a total noob how to migrate from v.3.3.2. to v. 3.3.3 or 3.3.4. is still unclear.

Sure I have read this :

How to start GUNBOT
Windows: compile the config.js file and double click on gunthy.exe

Only with this I'm afraid nothing will occur.

So could you please indicate all other actions (probably totally obvious for the vast majority) step by step ? (*)

Which file to erase ?
which to replace ?
which to keep ?
etc.


If I am the only one for whom it is a little bit tricky please just ignore this message.

(*) To migrate from v. 3.2.2 to v. 3.3.3. there was a lot of precise indications :

•How to migrate from v3.2:
◦Make a new folder and copy/paste all your save.json file from old bot to new one
◦Start GUNBOT.EXE
◦Change coin names and exchange, following the save.json files you copy/pasted. Example: if you have poloniex-BTC_ETH-save.json, change coin names and market in the GUI to BTC/ETH/Poloniex
◦Push SAVE SETTINGS button
◦Push START button
◦WAIT for both debug and colo consoles to show up and the Alert box to automatically close
◦Repeat for each save.json file


•How to start again after the first install start:
◦Push LOAD SETTINGS button: in the new window, select the pair worker you want to use

I'm not set up to trade on Kraken (yet) and this may not be the issue but the first thing that sticks out is...

 GAIN price to sell NaN

NaN is abbreviation for "Not a Number" so check the numbers in your sell settings, also check that you haven't deleted the comma at the end. Every variable in the settings files must end with a comma.

Thank you : I forgot to mention that « GAIN price to sell NaN » error.
I only used the default settings on BB without changing anything. Nothing sophisticated here.
I thought it was supposed to work at least like that.
As for the commas I haven’t seen any comma at the end of the settings, whichever it is – maybe I haven’t understood well what you wanted to say ; could you please elaborate ?
So until now I only saw  a bunch of errors.
That’s why I was wondering if it’s about kraken because so much people seem to be successful  with poloniex or bittrex.
For me, the bot is simply unusable from the beginning, which is really strange.
Just another idea : maybe the problem is due to the fact that I already have altcoins (i.e. ETH on the BTC/ETH pair), which is maybe not good for gunbot trading.

« Also: when you first start to trade a pair, you need to have a balance in the primary coin and possibly no balance on the "altcoin"

I tried to run the bot for 1st time to see how it works.
Settings : default on BB
Platform : Kraken

Unfortunately I immediately saw recurring errors :

Error: Error in server response: {"code":"ESOCKETTIMEDOUT","connect":false}

Error: Missing boughtPrice

Cycle X failed

And this one :

Error: Error in server response: {"code":"ENOENT","errno":"ENOENT","syscall":"getaddrinfo","hostname":"api.kraken.com","host":"api.kraken.com","port":443}

As a result I never had a single cycle which haven't failed so far

Maybe the problem is specific to kraken ?

Or what would I have done wrong ?

I would be grateful for some help
