Title: Is using sodium alginate for acid reflux safe for long-term use?
Post by: Balletrist on September 01, 2026, 06:34:01 AM
I’ve been dealing with acid reflux for years and recently heard about sodium alginate as a safer, maybe gentler alternative to PPIs and the stronger meds. It actually seems to work for me, but now I’m kinda nervous about taking it every day. The box says it’s safe, but you never know these days. Has anyone else here used it long-term? Is there some hidden downside or wacky side effect I should know about before I keep relying on this stuff? Would seriously appreciate any advice or personal stories, since my doctor just shrugs and says it’s “generally fine.”
