Title: Existing Holdings when adding or upgrading GB

When upgrading from one GB version to the next with active holdings how does GB deal with those holdings?

i.e. If I am holding 400 units of BTC-XYZ that were bought by the previous version of the GB and I install the new GB before the 400 units were sold by the old version of GB but I put the new version back on the same BTC-XYZ pairing how does the new GB version deal with those holdings? This could also apply to setting the GB on a pair you hold prior to implementing GB trading.

don't worry, the bot will know what to do. you just set that same strategy and same parameters, if you wish behaviour like in the old version, but you can also change them. and let it do it's job.

So will it work on existing holdings bought manually? i.e. if I set it on a pair that I already own some of will the bot find the best place to sell it?

Yeah, quite clever the bot. In the worst case you will have to provide it with a bought price.
