is there anyway to get a refund? i cant even get the thing to start.

You've to contact the one who sold you your licence, Einstein.

Otherwise, you'll get it activated, but it can take days up to a week or a bit more - depending the seller.
Seller to contact, again.

Ah it's you? I had to sell them in panic as I was loosing 1%  8)
