I'm curious how much harder it is to set up on a MAC vs a PC

It takes 5 mins to set up on either platform so it's whatever you prefer to use.

The subject said 'use an older mac'.   Depending on how old your "older mac" is I'd recommend you look into getting a cheap PC.

Especially if you want to run in BB mode with more than just a few trading pairs.
