strange. I run two bots, one with over 20 pairs on bittrex, which is still much faster than kraken bot with 7 ...

most likely an issue of the exchange, it might pause your API calls, and then the security counter resets. I have disabled mine, do so at own risk (set counter to 0).

yeah, the bot is not that quick (depending on strategy). but no, this will lead to very quick capital tie down. it will possibly take weeks to sell at profit. which is fine, if you have a lot of capital to play with, because eventually almost every coin bounces back. but is it painful looking for a month at a bought coin which climbed back, but lingers in the minus 2 to 5% band and can't get higher. and with time these coins can multiply very fast.

new version is out. before doing any serious work on your problem, I'd upgrade.

Beginners & Help / Re: Understanding the Gunbot BB setup

Might be a bug. What version is this? Some XT cores had buggy BB calcs.

How do lifetime updates work? What does this apply to? What do they not apply to?

Simple, there are updated versions. You download and install them. They apply to everything bot (not plugins, third party GUIs, etc)

What is the difference between Gunbot XT and core? Am I buying one or the other?

None. XT is a full function bot core. It contains all the strategies, and the current version is 7.0.2

Are licences over and above the program? Do I need to buy both?

Yes. To run the bot you basically need an interface (graphic with the XT core), a core: 6 or 7 series recommended, and at least one market license

Some offer gui support. Which does this apply to?

Dunno? You don't need it, there is a comprehensive wiki.

I am looking for all strategies, bittrex and binance license, trading view, gui. I want all future updates and not have to buy additional items for sale. What should I look for?

Gunbot XT core + GUI + tradeview plugin + bittrex license + binance license (or buy the bundle, might be more economic : XTcore+GUI+TVplugin+all markets license)[/b]

Thank you
Dave

No problem whatsoever

this will most likely lead to capital tiedown and tears in no time ... of course you can set a lot of things on the bot, but you can't set time limits. Pair number is not a bot limitation, it is an hardware/resource matter.

it might not help at all. Kraken is now a little better than it was, so I don't feel it being much of an issue for ma anymore.

Technical Support & Development / Re: gunbot API and upgrade
« on: January 26, 2018, 05:35:54 AM »
1.yes.
2. no if you don't own licenses for all those exchanges. you can upgrade once you have your API revalidated, but only for the exchange you paid for in the first place, when you bought the bot. you can, however, buy additional market licenses and different plugins for the bot.

you don't need to buy anything, albeit the newer versions will not work for you. You need to have your API revalidated with Gunthar for versions 5.0 and above.

General Discussion / Re: Why is GunBot so pricey? Is it worth its price?
« on: January 24, 2018, 06:50:25 AM »
If not market savvy, the bot will not be of true use. The bot is of use to people used to do frequent manual trading, wanting to extend their trade time into full 24/7. I myself went to a point in which after about an hour can not concentrate on numbers and charts anymore, so I went for the bot. The results are a bit mixed in my case, because I failed to see in the early days of my use, that this is not a set and forget system and that the bot needs to be managed (euphoria took over, after the first few successful days). So, twice since august last year I got stuck with bags. I am still learning how to rid them with not much capital addition. With enough money this can go quickly, but my investment capital is rather limited. So far the "wait it out" method has still been the most cheap method for this, but - the tied up capital can not earn any money in meantime.
So, to conclude, with enough investing capital and some trading knowledge, yeah, go for it. As an investment system for absolute beginners in trading, no.

no, it's a limitation of the exchange ... Kraken also has price rounding.

best you do that (contact gunther). there's a lot of stuff running on those servers, also the licenses.

minimize works in windows. the terminal windows are a sign the GUI and bot are running. have tried this on win10 and win8.

96
jeesas, you have set it that way (selllvl:2) ... it will not enter a sell cycle if it doesn't see minimal 1.5% gain and even then it will try to fetch more. a daily gain of 1.5% is mostly just not here in these markets. why don't you set it to start selling at sell level1? did you even read the wiki?

Beginners & Help / Re: Bot consistently losing money with its trades
« on: January 23, 2018, 10:17:49 AM »
of course there's a safety, it's called basic math. the bot knows at how much it bought and how many coins, and you have set it to sell at minimal gain such.such percent ... and the bot can math. so it can't sell at loss if you don't set it that way. for example, if you would have set minimal gain of 0.3 and the fees for the trade would be 0.4% combined, then you would have a bot selling at loss of 0.1%. in any other case, no way when the bot is running in auto trade ... except for tanking coins which fall really low, so the stop limit mechanism gets triggered, or if you activate panic sell, which will sell regardless of gain. panic sell needs to be activated from the setup, which means the bot is no more running on it's own, but you forced the sale of coins over it's working algorithm.

Beginners & Help / Re: Binance - NOT selling
« on: January 23, 2018, 10:06:37 AM »
of course it didn't sell. look at the calculated exit point and last bid. exit point was @0,000016918, last bid was 0,00001677 ... the highest bid has not reached exit point. can't sell if nobody is interested to buy at set exit ...

Beginners & Help / Re: Bot (Lite) ceased trading? Maybe?
« on: January 23, 2018, 10:00:34 AM »
Yeah but the safety is on, it can't trade with the safety on. It can be your exchange temporarily interrupting API calls, and the safety gets reset after every interrupt. I set mine to 0 to never get safety switch anymore, if you want you can do so (at own risk).
