I am watching my gunbot scroll through its pairs while scouting for buys and I noticed something odd.  It seems that the RSI it lists when its scrolling the pairs is not matching up with the RSI on tradingview.   I have my period set to 15, so I am checking tradingview's 15 minute candle charts.

It will show pairs as having 55 RSI for example, but when I go to the tradingview chart (with the same 15 minute candles), the RSI is not what the bot says it is as it scrolls past that pair.

Any insight into this matter?

Thanks in advance
-Glen

or viceversa

the issue with fiat pairs most of time is that there are no enough trades and volume

Leeview [ TheCryptoBot ], [09.05.18 03:50]

there are some hours during night that the pair eur/btc at cex for example

Leeview [ TheCryptoBot ], [09.05.18 03:50]
[Forwarded from Gunthar De Niro]
takes a trade at 1.30am

Leeview [ TheCryptoBot ], [09.05.18 03:50]

and then the next trade is at 3am

in that space without trades, candles values are zero

so when you pull them from api

Leeview [ TheCryptoBot ], [09.05.18 03:50]
[Forwarded from Gunthar De Niro]
and say you call 20 candles

Leeview [ TheCryptoBot ], [09.05.18 03:50]
[Forwarded from Gunthar De Niro]
you get maybe 13 or 15 candlles

Can anyone please help me better understand this message forward from the man, Gunthar, himself?  Thanks!

I have found the same problem, trying to understand the RSI in Gunbot with the one in trading view :

Exchange : Bitfinex
Pair          : USD - BTC ( there is a lot action on this pair )

Gunbot :

Period : 15
SMAPERIOD : 50
STDV : 2

Output : RSI 33.97

Trading view

RSI : 14 on closing bar

Output : 27.34

What am i missing in this picture ? or what parameters to adjust to get them to report the same RSI ?
