This is how spot grid works. If it sells it sells with profit.

It's not buying the same thing at the same price, it's closing a cycle with profit, for example, selling 0.10 BTC with 2% profit, and then, at the same price, it buys 0.01 BTC and starts a new cycle.

another example from the grid output:

origQty: '0.00027000', means the original request was for the wrong quantity which should have been '0.00028000' (Quantity of related buy order).
Otherwise I like the results from sga strategy but this need to be fixed.

Technical Support & Development / Re: StepGrid strategy selling lower amount

I just posted the exact same behaviour with SpotGrid Advanced strategy. It's actually not a small issue - It affects profits on the trade.

Technical Support & Development / SpotGrid Advanced Issue
« Last post by felixinbali on January 07, 2022, 12:45:56 PM »
I am facing an issue with StepGrid Adavanced strategy.
Example:
Bot creates buy order 0.00028 BTC for 42420 USDT - order is filled in Binance (11.88 USDT)
Bot created sell order 0.00027 BTC for 44500 USDT - order is filled in Binance (12.02 USDT)
It should have sold 0.00028 BTC for 44500 USDT (12.46 USDT).
So why does the bot sell 0.00001 BTC less than it bought?
Binance minimum trade limit for BTC is 0.000001 BTC with minumum order 10 USDT - so there is no issue.
I used postman with the Binance API and was able to create orders without any issues to buy 0.00028 and sell 0.00028 using market or limited orders.
Any help would be appreciated as this is affecting profit/trade.

Technical Support & Development / Stepgrid programmed to sell at a loss? -PNL?
« Last post by donut5 on January 06, 2022, 06:26:10 PM »
Hi, My StepGrid strategy keeps selling at a loss, I don't think it is supposed to be doing that?

It will DCA / buy down in steps. Then it will sell some at a profit, then all of a sudden it will decide to sell bags it bought higher up as well, at a -PNL loss.  :(

I haven't changed the quote currency or done any manual trading on the active pairs. I have added some base currency to my spot account whilst the pairs have been active, which I wouldn't imagine would cause this issue?

Appreciate any insights, this is concerning. D5

Hello, first post here.

I have decided to revisit the Spotgrid strategy as I read it had been updated to no longer buy back it's bags instantly after selling them. (This was a deal breaker so I wasn't using it)

However it appears it's still not working well.
It keeps selling bags and then buying them back less than 2 minutes later at <0/1% difference than where it sold.
The market fees are set at 0.1% so the bot buying back 0.08% higher than when it sold within minutes makes no sense at all. It'd be better just holding that back and selling it higher.
Even if it bought back when price retrace 0.1% after selling - that'd still be bad as it's not >0.2%(the buy/sell market fees)

Is there a solution for this? Like a buy timeout, or NBA or something? idk.
Thanks,

Hello, just as the title says.  I want to trade perpetual futures pairs through Okex in gunbot.  I have gunbot all setup with the okex5 API key, it's set to swaps, but when I go to enter a trading pair, the only ones it brings up are their futures (weeklies, monthlies, quarterlys etc).

It says in the wiki its possible to trade perpetual futures pairs through Okex on gunbot.  Is there a resource that shows the syntax for typing in the pairs that you want to use?

thanks!

As far as I know it's not possible yet. There will be some tests in January.

Resolved this, but have another problem.

ByBit won't work for some reason, can someone look over this please and try and see what the error says and how to fix it?  It gets the order, but then has an error afterwards.  Please help :).

to open a USDT-BTC long perp futures

USDT-BTC-LONG

for a short

USDT-BTC-SHORT
