Technical Support & Development / possibilty to save all ?
« on: April 28, 2017, 04:04:25 PM »
hello,

i have the following problem.....

my computer sometimes crash or something like that....

and if i restart, i have to load each pair and 1000trades and russian roulette are not saved....

can you please make a possibity to safe all together ?

(ok with one bat for all it is possible, but then i have 8-10 dos windows an my taskbar.....)

and what happen with open trades ? does gunbot goe on after an restart ?

82
can i ask you, why you dont use all three steps ?

i think, maybe it is a good idea, to make only one window for all 4 strategies, where you can combinate and choose and combinate every setting .....
and with a saveable config-file (;

Beginners & Help / Re: how does the different strategies work ?
« on: April 28, 2017, 01:26:39 AM »
thank you very much !

that brings light in the dark !  :D

if i have understand it right, than a higher ""gain %" means less traides with higher profits - a lower "gain %" means more trades with less profit, dependet to the price/trend....

how does the bb-method buy/sell ?
do it sell, with trailing, if the price goes x% above  the lower bollinger band ?
or do it buy direct, if it cross x% above the lower bollinger band ?
i think the first one ? and x% can be negative, too
- that means in the case of selling, to buy under the lower bollinger band ?
and in the case of buying, above the upper bollinger band ?

the buy-gain and sell-bb - strategie should be very good for an agressive uptrend (with spikes)?
becouse it buy a little under the lower ema and sells with "trailing" above x% under the upper bollinger band !?

ok, sorry ! i remember  the step-gain/supergun works with ema-crossing ?!
in the case of step-gain.....
for example i have this setting:
level 1 = 2
level 2 = 4
level 3 = 6
and the price go up to 5, then gunbot sell for 4 ?

1000trades = buy while emas cross sell after "gain %" from buy-price !?

ok, if "russian roulette" use a trailing sell, then it should make more trades and more profit, like the 1000trades ?
and why is "russian roulette" not good for spikes ?
if it trails it should be better than the gain ?
or reacts it directly to an reserve and not with a little distance, like a "normal" "trailing stopp" ? and so it sometimes sell under the "gain" ?

thank you very much !
very interesting what you have programmed ! good ideas ! (:

Beginners & Help / how does the different strategies work ?
« on: April 27, 2017, 11:26:02 PM »
i read much in both forums but i still dont understand it completly  Sad .....

can somebody please help me and explain me what the different strategies do ?

window 1 (bollinger band):

only bollinger bands:
buy if the price x% from the border of the lower bollinger band .....
sell if the price x% from the border of the upper bollinger band  .....

buy -> gain and sell-> bb:
buy if the price x% (gain?) from the lower ema .....
sell if the price x% from the border of the upper bollinger band  .....

buy -> bb and sell-> gain:
buy if the price x% from the border of the lowerbollinger band  .....
sell if the price x% (gain?) from the upper ema.....

max. balance for trade is only for this pair and gunbot split this in a few smalle trades ?

i dont have realy understand how gunbot buy/sell in this mode ?

in the other forum gunther write that is like a kind of "trailing buy/sell", if i had understand it right..... (it follows the price, till it turns ?)

window 2 (step gain = supergun ?):

works only with emas....

gunbot buy at level 1 and level 2 and level 3 (%) under the lower ema....
and it sells at level 1 and level 2 and level 3 (%) above the upper ema .....

if i have understand it right, than gunbot follows the price, till it turn....
if it turn under level 1 than it buys, if it turn under level 2 then it buy again and so on ?
tham with selling ?

but for what are the fourth "buy level" and "sell level" ?
if you choose "1" for the fourth "buy level", then gunbot only use the "buy level 1", to trade ?

gunbot splits the "max balance to trade" trough the number of "buy levels" you use ?

window 3 (1000trades):

works with emas, too ......
but how ?

window 4 (russian roulette):

works with emas, too.....
looks like the same as 1000trades ?

and why is it not possible to save the settings for the window 3 and 4 ......

wich one is better for wich pair ?
logical i would say, the ema-strategie is better for pairs, where the ups and/or downs not often reached the bollinger bands.....

the perfect pair to trade should have much up and downs (waves) as possible....
in the best case an side or uptrend ?

if the pair is not realy volotile it make no sense .....
if the pair in an downtrand, it is possible, but more risky ? becouse maybe the price falls under the sell-price and i have to wait, till the price goes up again ?

whats about the "max last prices" ?
gunbot use it, to detect the trend ?
it it possible to set it to high ?

the statistic only show the pairs with volume above x.....
but it dont detect, if the pair in an up or downtrend ?

can somebody please give me the waitresses for the different traiding styles ?

maybe then i understand, what they are doing (iam a programmer (but much different applications) too) (:

if ..... then .......
or something like that.....
i dont need the sourcecode.....
only the logic (in short form), for each "style"

thank you very much !

85
thank you for the answer !
thats very fine  ;D

ok, if i have understand it right, than i only need to setup the bollinger band setup and gunbot use the supergun (trailing stop) function on his own ?

but whats me still confused.....

"%GAIN" and "Sell strategy".........

how do that interact ? with supergun.......

does Gunbot ever sell, if the "%GAIN"-Level is reached ? or starts the "trailing sell" after the 2% ?
and whats happen, if the price below or under the BB-Sell-% ?

86
what do your think, about this idea ?

maybe gunbot should not buy or sell ..... it should use a kind of trailing buy and trailing sell..........

i will say, if the value is reached, it dont sell .... it follow the price till the price turn and sell then...... maybe so it can make more profit, becouse it try to follow the price, if it break out of the BB.....

or do gunbot this already in this way ?

87
is in future "margin trading" possible, too ?

becouse so gunbot can go short to - i think that should make much more profit ?

how does the excelsheet work ?

if i understand it right, the table in the middle and right are the same, as the table below ?

and how do i use it ?

do i need to fill it by hand or can i copy it from poloniex or the poloniex excel-file ?

i have divided my BTC-balance throuth the amount of pairs, thats while i have only this:
"
MAX_ALTCOINS_BALANCE: 0.0035,
BTC_TRADING_LIMIT: 0.0035,
"

what do you think ?
is it to much ?
are there pairs that arent good to trade ?
is it ok, to use the same settings for each pair ?

sorry iam very new on polo..... normaly i trade only btc/$ and eth/$

maybe in future versions of gunbot, gunbot can automaticaly choose the pairs with the most volatility and split the btc-balance only for this pairs ?.......

i think thats not good to understand.........

i will say...

you can choose via checkbox the pairs, that gunbot should trade....
and there is a checkbox, if unckecked, then gunbot trade every checked pair and split the balance between every checkes pair...
if the checked, than gunbot only trades the most valatil pairs, from te checked pairs and split the balance automatical between this pairs ????

if i understand the gunbot funktion right, than the user dont need to check for good pairs on his own and gunbot should make more profits ?
