Hi guys,
As mentioned in the title I'm considering getting a kraken's license of Gunbot. The reason is that I have been using kraken for 2 years now without major issues.
However, truth to be told, up until now I've never been in to the trading world myself and in fact, just started looking at it more recently.
After some research it seems like people are very discouraged by kraken's downtimes, especially during the so called "dumps".
Taking in consideration that kraken has low fees and SEPA transfers as one of its funding methods (which is free for those who reside in EEA Countries, like myself), I'd like to know if it is worth for me to switch over to Poloniex (or Bittrex?), considering that most of the support seems directed at them and they have higher altcoins volume...

Kraken still has some minor issues with the Dust / very small portions getting stuck and the pair would wait to sell forever .
other then that, kraken is a solid / long-time market .
Cheers !

Thank you for the reply, very appreciated!
By solid you mean that there's no need to switch over to Poloniex or even Bittrex?
Let me put it this way:
- Kraken:
- Pros:
- The best for BTC/EUR trading pair;
- Has SEPA transfers (Can fund my account for free, no taxes).
- Poloniex:
-Pros:
- The best for altcoins (due to their much higher volume).
- Cons:
- No SEPA transfers (probably have to pay taxes in order to fund my account, I guess).
Considering all the above, which of these exchanges, would be the best for an European user who is using Gunbot?

No SEPA because no fiat! Only USDT (USD Tether is indexed to USD) https://tether.to/.
You can't deposit fiat nor to Poloniex nor to Bittrex.

Well, I guess I could always fund my kraken account with euros, buy btc and then send them to Polo... Is it even worth it?
-
kraken is very solid exchange and can give you better experience for fiat trading.
Also i see one of your points is the capability to fund with SEPA: definitely kraken.
Wait to buy a license tho: the coming release will make your experience on kraken smooth and very profitable.

Thanks for the input, sir! However I got the Poloniex license already, before your post.
I'll be doing like I mentioned above, funding with kraken and trading with Polo, not sure if it will be worth it, guess only time can tell.
In any case, would it be possible for someone to 'change' his current license for another exchange with no additional costs?
-
hi,
you may try fiat to btc exchange "anycoin"... even it is possible to payout coins to paypal...
-
Thank you for the suggestion!
However, after taking a look at it, I noticed it would be in fact more expensive than using Kraken itself...
For instance:
Using Anycoin: 10.000 = 4.35642
Using Kraken: 10.000 = 4.46866
I have yet to see a cheaper way to get bitcoins here on Europe than Kraken...

I was under the impression that once you buy a license you get updates for free?

You're right.
