Beginners & Help / Re: Gunbot 3.3.2 -> Windows vs Linux
« on: July 28, 2017, 03:55:43 PM »
I personally find Windows easier, but Linux servers are indeed cheaper and use less resources than Windows. If cost is a factor in your decision, definetly go for Linux.

General Discussion / Re: Take BTC out of Poloniex before Aug. 1st?
« on: July 26, 2017, 03:38:43 PM »
As Poloniex stated here: https://poloniex.com/press-releases/2017.07.24-Our-plans-to-handle-potential-BTC-network-disruptions/
They do not take sides yet in the potential network disruption, which might eventually lead into losing coins in the other chain in case of a network split. Would be definetly recommended to have your coins in such a wallet where you control the private keys.

i prefer windows (;

but thats not my question.....

what for a vps do i need ?

atm i trade an 6 accounts and 87+87+51+51+5+5 pairs ^^

atm they run 7 gunbots on an quadcore with 4gb ddr4 .......

what is the minimum cpu and ram, that a vps need ?

maybe it is better/cheaper, to use my second laptop or buy an small nas ?
Contabo is the best option IMO for running many pairs. They have very good servers for affordable prices. More information here: https://gunthy.org/index.php?topic=166.0

Gunbot does not support margin trading at the moment.

You should keep atleast half of your portfolio in BTC stored in a hardware wallet or cold storage. That way for example if BTC goes up, you can deposit more to polo and keep trading without selling your bags at a loss. Problem solved.

Stepgain is making me ~3-4% a day. It also seems that the new 25/25 PureBB is working very well for people in the group.

Technical Support & Development / Re: Additional algorythm
« on: May 16, 2017, 07:22:39 AM »
It's a good idea, but in my opinion a smarter algorithm is still much better than just simple variables. Cheaping out on a vps when using a bot that handles your money isn't that good of an idea. ::)

This has been addressed already in the Telegram group. I will be doing a complete tutorial for every upcoming GUNBOT version, along with a tutorial on how to get it started, and what settings you could use.
