Beginners & Help / Changing API Keys on Poloniex
« on: March 15, 2019, 05:03:41 AM »
I upgraded to 12.8.3 and starting getting the nonce greater than error running on poloniex.  I read suggestions saying to get new api keys.  I did.  now I get invalid api key/secret pair.  I got confused and put my new key into the update master section of the gui as well and started getting invalid license.  I put my old license/secret back into master and no longer got invalid license but continue to get invalid key/secret pair.  I changed my keys on poloniex twice just to make sure I was doing things correctly.  I tried making my key and master the same.  I tried making my key the new key and keeping the master as my original master that was there before.  previously when it was working I had my key and master as the same thing.  no success.  please help with whatever I am doing wrong.  I have been successfully running this for about 2 years and now I messed myself up somehow.  I still have all my original key information.  Thank you for any help.

Beginners & Help / Lowering Trading Limit Impacts
« on: December 30, 2017, 03:35:33 PM »
Using BBstepgain.  Let's say you lower your trading limit from .02 to .01 while you are holding bought currencies at the .02 amount.  (min sell at say .001)  Do they get stranded or will it make sells up to .01 amounts and chip away at the .02 amount?  I accidentally set my buy limit too high and want to lower it but don't want to adversely affect anything that has already been bought.

Thanks.  Yes, I was missing the whole pairs trading philosophy.  Got it now...

Beginners & Help / What happens after initial purchases

Noob pair trading question.  Set up 3 pairs.  Say for example BTC-A, BTC-B, and BTC-C.  Using .1 BTC, BBstepgain, .025 reserve.  After running for an hour I now have .025 in each currency, BTC, A, B, and C.  Now what?  My reserve is .025 so it will not spend any more bitcoin to buy anything.  So now the money is stuck and done?  Do you set up reciprocal pairs to get the money out of the other currencies?  I obviously don't understand the sell part of the pair I assume....
