General Discussion / Re: gb 6 memory usage ,,,,
« on: November 14, 2017, 10:51:53 PM »
It has leveled off.

CPU at about 88% and memory at about 1.8 GB.

I can only assume that the rapidly climbing CPU is due to more and more and more complex calculations as it learns. So maybe gunthy and gunthy gui just takes huge resources. Although I know it does have a bug for one, when the gunthy window opens and closes non stop in a loop.

I gave up on AWS with 1gb memory. I only run 4-6 pairs so thought that would be enough. Bu tI should have suspected that it would not do since it slowed my home computer to a crawl.

This morning I set up a 1+1
Type: Cloud Server XL
CPU: 2 vCore
RAM:4 GB
SSD: 120 GB
Windows 64 bit

This is what it has done.

This, IMO is not a clean running program, and whatever they have done progressively ups and ups the processor usage until it maxes out.

IE Gunther has more work to do.

I am running at 2GB right now but it is slowly climbing.

But the processor has rapidly climbed to 90%.

Both of these should level off, if this is a clean running program.

Here is where it is now after 9 hours of gunthy-gui on chrome.

There is a memory issue with this latest version, Gunbot XT, running on windows. It gets slower and slower and slower. I like to leave gunbot running on the GUI so I can make changes until I get everything dialed in. Tried it on a VPS and my computer and both will slow to a crawl. Someone else mentioned a memory leak which needs to be fixed badly.

You can set your pairs, and then stop the GUI, and then run gunthy.exe. That wont take so much memory, but if you need to tweak something you have to kill the gunthy window, and reopen the GUI, when finished close it again restart gunthy.exe etc.

Also another issue, is when restarting the GUI interface above, the small black window, (I assume gunthy.exe), it can get into a condition where it just opens and closes over and over endlessly and cannot be stopped.

You have to reboot to stop it.

IE Gunbot XT has bugs, and its buggy enough that you cannot run it 24/7 due to the memory leak.

IE please fix.

Beginners & Help / Within GB XT is there a way to double up manually?
« on: November 10, 2017, 06:41:38 PM »
I dont want double up left on in GB.

I would rather control it manually.

I dont do it often, but I have a few coins that will tank and then shoot straight back up and it would be nice to add at or near the low point manually....

I considered just buying them on bittrex, but I have read where it causes problems with GB calcs and people have gotten bad sells. Or has this been corrected in GB XT. IE if you buy manually while GB  XT is running will it readjust the balance and find a new sell point.

Beginners & Help / New gunbot XT bbrsi and bbrsibb and bbbbrsi
« on: November 10, 2017, 01:54:16 PM »
The manual inst out yet.

Can anybody explain how these differ?

I assume bbrsi uses the combo of bb and rsi to both buy and sell?

bbrsibb?

bbbbrsi?

Beginners & Help / How do you guys handle getting stuck at a peak.
« on: November 09, 2017, 04:27:45 AM »
I am new to GB, and have had today GB buy near the very peak of a run-up, and then not sell before the pair goes down.
It got me thinking. Waiting it out is the best thing in normal circumstances, but how do you guys handle
something like a run-up peak buy where it's an all time high where the pair may not return to that high again?

Thanks

Beginners & Help / Weird sell/buy patterns
« on: November 08, 2017, 11:33:39 PM »
Both bb set at 30.

1st pair.
Running for about 2 hours.
Sold at 2% up which was about at the top of the bb band and correct.
Then 4 seconds later bought it back at minuscule lower price but at the top of the band = IE wrong bb position to buy.
And GB rebought close to a peak.

2nd pair.
Running for several hours, and in general, taking profits at 2% trending up on numerous trades, but mostly every buy and sell are happening on the top of the bb band.
IE the sell is in the correct place.
The buy is not.
The last buy was at a peak, on top of the curve and then the pair dumped.

3rd pair. New pair. Waited for the price to drop a little and go horizontal. Bought almost in the exact middle of the bb.

Any explanation of why this is occurring?
