Double check in the text file that you don't have a space character (" ") at the front or end of your API key or secret.

Very common error to have a space (" ") character accidentally.

Yes.  The hardware for a VPS is more stable than standard consumer grade electronics (home systems).

I would really recommend a VPS.  Will have better connectivity to the internet backbone and you can take a snapshot/backup while it's running too.

Yes.  I agree.  Absolutely NOT normal.

I've had two instances of v3.3.2 (one for BTC pairs and one for ETH pairs) running on my Windows 7 VPS for over 50 days now.

Are you using a home computer?  Are there any other processings running in the background and using resources?

Which OS are you using to run your 3.3.2?  Log files to share?

I suggest you start a new thread.  Will need to share what type of OS you are using, what version of the bot, etc.

Are you using a GUI?  Built-in on for 5.0.5.5 or the GunthyGUI?
Highly recommended to use the GunthyGUI.

How are you running your GunBot?  Which OS?  Windows, Mac, Linux?
Can you see the command line and the GunBot running in a terminal window?  Or are you running a headless system?

Hi.  If you are running Windows in a VM machine please check your Windows configuration to make sure you don't have other stuff running in the background.  You will have limited memory in your Windows instance.

Make sure you've reset the MSIE settings (last tab in the Microsoft Internet Explorer settings gives you options to reset to default settings, which will require a reboot).

You don't want extra stuff (different web browsers, etc) running in the background of your Windows VM.

I suggest finding a few Mac people to chat.  I'm not sure running in the VM is the best way.

What type of Mac are you on?  Laptop with limited RAM to start with?

Heh.  I have that problem too on my v3.3.2 on Win 7 VPS.

I slam the "CANCEL" buttons after I wait a good 3-4 minutes.   I have to cancel many times to get control back because I have tons of trading pairs.

The work around I've found is to re-create the trading pairs I want, hit SAVE, then START.  i.e. I let it start and after it takes too long I hit cancel a bunch of times.  Whatever pairs aren't started properly I CLOSE.  Then I re-create the pairs, hit SAVE, then START.  It's slow but it works for me.

I have two instances of v3.3.2 running.  One for BTC pairs, and one for ETH pairs.  I've never had issues with the ETH trading pair instance.... which makes me think that the Jsongui issue may be related to running too many pairs in one instance of the bot.  My BTC instance has a ton of trading pairs all running in full BB.

Are you running on a home system or a VPS?  Anything else running?

Hello, I have Gunbot now for a few days and a lot of things are going very good!

Next to the good things I'm having a problem that the GB keeps crashing when I make some adjustments (for example add new pairs). It crashes with the message Jsongui stopped working and I can only just close the GB. After that I have to open the GB load all the pairs and manually sell some buys on Bittrex. This happened about ten times nowin a few days  .

I have seen the video and post about not touching the 'retry and cancel button' when adding a new pair. . I do not touch them!! And still the GB crashes.

I have the GB 3.3 version on Bittrex.

Hope someone can help.

Nice!  Thanks for taking the time to share this.   I'm sure there are Mac users who will really appreciate this.

My only suggestion would be that maybe you could create a pastebin with the commands to make it a bit easier for others to follow your instructions.  They could cut-n-paste.

But seriously, this is a wonderful gift you've given to Mac users in the GunBot community.

Hi.  I used CryptoPing for a while but found the free alerts to be too generic *and* common (not quite a Telegram flood but a bit more regular and I ended up become “blind” to the CryptoPing notifications).

Basically I found I was getting too many notifications that I didn’t want to act on... specifically getting notified about trading surges that were happening — either on other exchanges (without my GunBot) or re: to pairs I was already trading.

I rarely was alerted to a trend or a trading pair that I was unaware of.

I would think it wouldn’t be that hard to script something that would receive the Telegram notification and send an email to GunBot (same as the TradeView integration does to BUY or SELL).  Maybe a new feature for Gunthar to add would be the ability to receive an email to add a trading pair?  Or control of the GunBot via Telegram?

Thanks to bit_ben for assisting me set-up the GunthyGUI on Linux.
Extra thanks to bit_ben for the 20% discount code or I wouldn't have made the purchase.

I did the trial of the GUI on Windows.  Easy enough since I'm a Windows guy.

But I'm surprised how easy it was to set-up GunBot v5 + GunthyGUI on Linux with Poloniex, Bittrex, & Cryptopia exchanges all controlled from one interface.  NICE!

Who is your reseller?  Hope they're authorized.  What version of the bot are you using?  There are different licensing servers for v3 & v4 than for v5.  So you may have been activated on v3.  Try a v3.3.2 and see what happens.

But you can also contact me via Telegram and I'll check your license validity.

even if that happens, after a couple of week you'll have a shitload of them for sale cheap on marketplace ... just like with the bot.

Good point.  I want the arbitrage bot but I guess it would be prudent for me to wait a bit.  I do see a fair amount of cheap licenses being sold via escrow.  Often too cheap.

I probably have my config set wrong since it's a new install (and has never worked).

I was using 3.3.2 and now I was able to start 5.0.4 by pasting my keys in config.js.
But, everything is so confusing....
Now, for example, I cannot figure out how to stop the bot.

The escrow in this case covered only the seller (confirmed he is selling a genuine product) and not covered the buyer at all (buyer has not received the right to exploit said genuine product). Techically it even isn't escrow (escrow should cover both sides). Would not recommend doing it this way. It's like buying a car over escrow, an escrow only makes sure it's not stollen, but not if the keys are also passed along with the car.

This isn't a car.  This is a digital license and it's controlled by Gunthar.  And *only* Gunthar.

When he says the license is transferred to the buyer that is a safe transfer of the license.  The buyer should have also received a welcome invite to Telegram group.

I trust Gunthar will follow-up and answer the OPs messages.
