Beginners & Help / Re: PP bot not buying
« on: June 06, 2018, 10:17:13 PM »
Yes, the bot will sell when your stop limit is reached even with all the other settings exactly as they were when the bot bought.  Panic sell is only to be used when you decide you want to sell your altcoin NOW, no matter what the price.  Panic sell, if you forget and leave that to true after using it, will definitely prevent future buys, and has nothing to do with configuring the stop limit.  The stop limit could be said to be a "thoughtful sell"- ie, without the "panic"- not that the careful trader won't make use of "panic sell" on occasion.  Panic sell should be off at all times unless you are committed to an immediate sell- with no filters or conditions applied.

General Discussion / Re: Multiple orders to be 100% sure you sell

I have a related question:  if TradingView signals GunBot to buy an altcoin but I have no basecoin at that instant, how long will that order remain valid?  Is this fill-or-kill, or is the order persistence determined by TIMEOUT_SELL and TIMEOUT_BUY, or by TRADES_TIMEOUT, or by CANCEL_ORDERS_ENABLED and CANCEL_ORDERS_CYCLE_CAP together, or how?

I can see I'll want to keep the relevant interval short, lest the capital released by the next altcoin sale be reinvested in altcoin1 at a less advantageous moment, long after the "BUY" signal was sent by TV.  Which parameter is best kept short for TradingView trades?

Has anyone found a solution for this aggravating problem?  Certainly, one can minimize each of these useless popups, but they multiply like tribbles and make it impossible to adjust settings- surely this is a sign that something is not working properly- what should I check?
