Sincerely I don't know, I never used the GUI.
To be more sincere, since:
* version 5.x is having problems and isn't reliable (especially on buying prices, pair cycles, etc.)
* version 3.x is frequently double-buying even if it's not allowed in config (etc)...
... then I simply didn't use gunthy for a week (except in slow mode and buy enabled=false to sell bags), and I wait for something that works.

1° 5.x are just, like many others, having problems with target prices.
Please read various open or closed github, and please use the ONLY 'stable' branch 3.3.2, and/or wait 5.0.5.x stable one, which was announced a week ago...
2° To understand gunthy, better use it without any GUI.
You don't really need anything visual to see if it behaves correctly or not. But re-read 1° above.

May be due to the recent Kraken changes about trading values that must be rounded to the proper decimals...
I don't think any version < 5.x can manage this, but I'm not sure.

If you started with a 3.x validated licence, yes it needs to have a special validation for 5.x

Some people should really start a Wiki or a google doc on how to start...
I may participate, but the main problem here is the 3 different versions (not counting the 3.3.4 and such sub versions).
That would be an enormous job to detail all this.
Still waiting for the next official stable one, so we can forget ALL the others.

It just sometimes makes double buys because he places an order that takes some time to be completed, and it thinks no order has been made... something like this.
double_buy: I would NOT use it for any reason.
To get rid of bags, place manual order on your marketplace, to the value you wish - and forget it.
A bot isn't for bags, don't spare its energy on this.
