I haven't had the problem with it freezing.  The Json crashes I've had.

Is your system maxing out?  How many cores do you have?  How much RAM?  How many pairs are you trading?  Are you running them all in BB?  (Very CPU intensive compared to the other modes).

Are you on Windows?

I believe its been discussed in the forums before.  If we review the logs of the Gunbot you can see that it is taking into consideration.

General Discussion / Re: GAIN settings interfering BB strategy?
« on: September 03, 2017, 01:18:48 AM »
Hi,

I think it depends on the version of the Gunbot you're using.

But GAIN is used as a safety when the BOT can't get, calculate or understand the BB settings.

And I don't think you want to set your GAIN for 0.

Many of us do attempt to run in pure BB.  But it can take hours for the computer to get enough data to properly generate it's own BB.

Well I'd imagine we will have a total record of all buys and sells.  Computers tend to track everything.

I don't believe what happened to you in '99 will happen again.  Poloniex, Bittrex, or Kraken will be providing full data transparency to the IRS.

Just following-up.  The AltCoin.io importing of APIs and CSVs isnt perfect but it's automatic and free.   (At least it's free now although there has been discussion of a premium service).

I'm currently pulling in both Poloniex and Bittrex APIs.  They are working on Coinbase integration and it is almost ready for release.

Quite happy to have found AltPocket.io.  It's easier for me than visiting CoinTracking.info and manually importing.

Hi.  I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.  The bid of the spread/ask wouldn't influence the Bollinger Bands (BB) or the GAIN settings.

If I had to guess what's influencing your profit.. it might be that Bitcoin is surging. So having money in alt coins results in a comparative loss as bitcoin itself pushes higher. But that's just a guess.

What is your minimum trade set at?  Screenshots of the error and your config (without a secret key!)?

Leave it default.

The Gunbot will accelerate and get faster if it needs to request certain trading pairs.  i.e. when the price gets close to a buy or a sell the Gunbot will start checking that API more and more.

Make a new account with Bittrex, verify your phone, turn on 2-step authentication, and get ENHANCE verified by submitting a selfie (of your face) and a selfie photo of your identification taken by the computer's camera.

Everything is automated.  Takes less than 10 minutes to become enhance verified when you've submitted your identification and selfie.

Beginners & Help / Re: Gunbot Monitor - Oversee all GUNBOTs in one screen
« on: September 03, 2017, 12:54:56 AM »
Just thought I'd share that I'm using GunBot monitor in a different folder to watch my ETH-trading pairs.  One folder for BTC-trading pairs and one folder for ETH-trading pairs.  (Yes, running two instances of GunBot 3.3.2)

Anyone can download the Gunbot.

version 3.3.2 is considered the most stable --

You need a license to have it work properly (pass the orders through to the exchange via API).

I'm using their $40 - 4 CPU x 8 GB setup.  I installed Windows 7 myself.  If you can't do that you can pay them $12 a month for Windows.

Interesting.   I see that message sometimes.  Not sure what to do so I usually ignore it.  Once I stopped that particular trading pair (BTC-ETH) and re-started it.  That seemed to fix it.

I'm using 3.3.2 on Windows.

Hey @ cryptosticks

Did you get the Amazon VPS? I am also considering a BOT to run off Amazon VPS.

Thx

No, I don't use Amazon VPS.  I'm running Windows 7 on Vultr VPS.

I agree with Dobcrypto.

Impossible to predict.  Would depend on exactly what trading pairs you were trading
Example: If you traded ETH-BTC you would get different results than if you traded BTC-OMG.

And that's not even considering the amount of each trade.
Example: Would you want to trade .01 BTC each trade or .005 each trade?

Or Which strategy?  BB?  Step Gain?  etc. etc.

Hi.

No you don't NEED a VPS.  But if you have any chance of virus, malware, spyware or keyloggers on your decent PC and laptop then that might get you hacked.  Also, it's nice to have a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week uptime.  Backups of your machine while it's running is easy on a VPS.  And you can click to upgrade your CPUs or RAM with a VPS easier than you can upgrade your own physical machine.

But you don't need a VPS.

And buying a license from a user on here will get you the license key.  Just make sure its a legitimate license key that is verified by Gunthar.

Resellers can help with set-up, help purchase a VPS, help with recommending which version of the bot you run, etc, etc.

(I'm not a reseller).

Thank you dobcrypto. I donīt now Linux. I will have to go with Windows

I'm running on Vultr.com using Windows 7.  I've used their $20 a month set-up but I'm EXTREMELY happy with their $40 a month set-up.
They offer Windows licenses for $12 a month.

The community (and discussion) at AltPocket.io leaves something to be desired.

But the Alt Coin tracking based off of the Bittrex API feed is great!  It's not automatic... you have to remember to refresh the Bittrex API to see any updates.

Hi DiaomedeX,

I recommend you get a VPS.  A VPS located in the country where the exchange is may have better connectivity to the exchange.

You would want to be able to control the GunBot sometimes.  Whether you run it on your local computer or remote into the VPS.  It definitely can be run for days at a time with default settings but I don't know about weeks or months.  (I've only had my GubBot for a week)!

Whatever you want to trade with the bot, should, in my opinion be in one exchange.  Keep your long positions in a different wallet.  i.e. I wouldn't want the GunBot to have access to any coinage that I didn't want it to trade.  Accidents happen; which is to say that Human Error happens.  :-0

Yes, I had the exact same problem when I first set-up the Gunbot on Windows.

Erroneous SPACE at the end of the API key.   :o
