Title: A few newbie questions
Post by: Graupi on August 28, 2017, 09:34:33 AM
Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy a gunbot license but have a few questions before I get started:

#1: Do I really need a VPS? I have a decent PC and laptop at home to run gunbot, is that cool? Or are there any other adventages I haven't considered?

#2: When buying a license from a user on here, do I get anything less than purchasing from an official reseller?

Thanks for helping out and keep up the great work! :)

Hi.

No you don't NEED a VPS.  But if you have any chance of virus, malware, spyware or keyloggers on your decent PC and laptop then that might get you hacked.  Also, it's nice to have a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week uptime.  Backups of your machine while it's running is easy on a VPS.  And you can click to upgrade your CPUs or RAM with a VPS easier than you can upgrade your own physical machine.

But you don't need a VPS.

And buying a license from a user on here will get you the license key.  Just make sure its a legitimate license key that is verified by Gunthar.

Resellers can help with set-up, help purchase a VPS, help with recommending which version of the bot you run, etc, etc.

(I'm not a reseller).

Thanks for the reply mate. I think I might go with the Amazon VPS since thats free for the first year. Not sure if a prime membership is of any use here, I'll check.

Cheers

No, I don't use Amazon VPS.  I'm running Windows 7 on Vultr VPS.
