I bought a licence months ago for an older version i can't recall exactly which one but can I use that same licence on a newer version?

well unfortunatly ive been away from home ive had my girlfriend try to set it up and thats whats going on. she said there is no config file at least not on its own. there are config files for different pairs but no file that just says config. i downloaded gunbot from thecryptobot.com site. i did find on here that they are a reseller so im just lost

i purchased a license from cryptobot and when i run it it says that i have an invalid licence key. its version 3.3.2
Please help
