Also: is there some kind of protection on the BB strategy?
It went well below than the threshold I set of 5%, but it didn't buy and still sayis that the buying level is far below the BB limits.

Yes, that info is not shown in GUI, you can check extra data in the grid.

Apart from BB conditions, "Buy level" also needs to meet the condition you set:
This sets the target for buying at a percentage below the lowest EMA. Additionally price must reach LOW_BB.
When you set this to 1, buy orders will only be placed when the current price is at least 1% below the currently lowest EMA.

I set the EMA to 0, I just want Gunbot to buy when the price falls below the LOW BB, and sell when it's over the HIGH BB.
But I think that Gunbot still puts in action a check to see if the trend is up or down, and won't sell or buy until it sees a reversal in the trend... which I don't want.

But how should Gunbot know how to calculate BB if you don't tell him what EMA to use...?
