Hi.  I think we'd all agree there is a need for an updated licensing process.

Currently all licenses, as far as I know, need to be processed by Gunthar.  Nobody else has the ability to update API keys.

When Gunthar says the license is valid the escrow is finished.  That is the terms of the escrow.

Please feel free to message Gunthar directly (via PM or Telegram).   He is the *only* person who can address any licensing issues whether it takes 2 weeks or 10 weeks.  It's Gunthar's GunBot and it's Gunthar's licensing system.

Then they would appear to be a false positive.
Or perhaps  your computer may be compromised 


Note: There were some recent cracked versions of the GunBot.  But you uploaded from your computer via known source so the .exe should have been safe.

Nobody *here* has ever reported malware, keyloggong or ransomeware. 

I’m a network engineer & running on a VPS system.  If there was any funkiness it would likely have become apparent rather quickly.  I have Trojan removers, Kaspersky and more running since day one.

If there was keylogging it would have to pass that captured data up to the web at some point (or store it on my computer to Send later).  I’ve never seen a network connection that I couldn’t explain and track down.

I have an outbound egress network filter that doesn’t allow any outbound connection unless I allow it.  Easy to inspect what’s going on.

Of course since I’m not typing on that VPS there is nothing to keylog.  Hahah.  And ransomeware on a VPS with automatic backups is kinda a chuckle.

Highly doubtful that the latest version has a trojan.  Maybe a false positive.  Where did you download from?  Uploaded the file and have a report (or a screen shot)?  https://www.google.com/search?q=virus+scan+trojan+scan+upload+file

Perhaps you should scan?  Worms, Viruses and Trojans, oh my!

You'll need to generate a new API key and contact your reseller.  Authorized Reseller can request an API key change from Gunthar.

You'll need to have your old API key (without secret) and your new API key (also without secret) sent to Gunthar.

Great write-up!  Heh.  Wish I read it before I installed.   

Just wanted to share than in Step 7. choose your certificate config I had to change the file suffixes for the files uploaded.

i.e. I had to rename the "Private" and the "Certificate" to have the .pem suffix.

The Gunthy-GUI wizard does remind the user that it is looking for a .pem suffix but I thought I'd make it obvious to the users reading your install guide.

I used https://www.sslforfree.com/ which is associated with LetsEncrypt.

I have chatted with Bittrex support and they are well aware I'm using an automated trading system.  I avoid the word 'bot' when I talk with them because bots have a bad reputation (tend to be disruptive and violate netiquette).

I have three (3) enhanced verified accounts now with Bittrex.  And they verified two (2) new accounts specifically to allow me to do automated trading without conflict.

As long as the GunBot doesn't pummel the Bittrex server or cause disruption we're all good.

Hi.

On my Windows 7 setup (VPS on Vultr) I'm running two (2) instances of v3.3.2 and one (1) instance of 5.0.4 right now.  Might go to another instance of v5.0.4 soon.

The point is:  you don't have to choose either or.  You can run some trading strategies (or different trading pairs) on v5.0.x and run some others on v3.3.2

Read the forums.  There are a few issues with the newest release.  API Key verification may be one of them.

Patience is necessary for this process.

You can potentially use other versions.  I'm on v3.3.2 myself.   Others are using 4.0.5 or whatever works for them.

I've read posts in the forum where v5.0.1 didn't work with an API key but other versions worked fine with the same API key.

Running via Parallels on a Mac can slow you down.  Being slow means your bot's buy or sell requests get to the exchange a bit slower.

Try running via command line on your Mac instead of Windows emulation?  And check your CPU usage.  I imagine your BB settings might be causing your Mac to do some serious thinking if you have many trading pairs.

Just FYI: I'm using BB-BB for buy-and-sell with closer to 45-45 settings.  Your BB 25-25 decision may be an important factor to consider.

Yes.  Looks like the API key.  Be patient it isn't activated instantly.  It can take some time (a few hours).

Look in the text editor at the API key in your config files.  I can't see if there are any spaces in your secret (nor can you) when it's all "******".  Easy to get a space character at the beginning or the end.

Also, try another trading pair?

I use the bot with .5 trades regularly for BTC-OMG.  It buys at 0.5 and sells around 0.51 with the settings I use.

GunBot v3.3.2 using BB for buy-and-sell at around 45-45.

What type of error are you seeing?

If it was me, on v3.3.2, I would delete the BTC-ETH trading pair (config files) and re-generate it.

You may want to post a screenshot or your config file (without secret) here and someone may be able to help you.

Take your time and read the forums.  Join the Telegram chat groups.

The market going downwards at the moment isn't the best time for a newbie to turn your GunBot on.  So don't be frustrated.  Just take your time.  Read, watch some YouTube videos, and contact your reseller.

Welcome to the community.

I run 3.3.2 myself on Bittrex.  Make sure you have no spaces (' ') around the API key, front and at the end.  Look in the config file if necessary.  Sometimes easier to see it in the text editor.

Post screenshots and/or your config file (without your secret) and someone may be able to assist.

Be patient.  I understand you may be frustrated but patience will help you not stress out.

You're not the first person who has forgotten to write down their Bittrex secret key.   Hopefully you'll be able to get ahold of the reseller and he can forward your API key to Gunthar for updating.

Everything except WITHDRAW.  That means the API key would be allowed to do everything except WITHDRAW your money.

The GunBot needs to have access to the other permissions (checkboxes).

So excited but now I'm refreshing my messages every 10-seconds waiting for a reply!  And... while I wait I'm looking for TradingView tutorials. Does anyone have recommendations on how to learn TradingView?

I will also need to learn about TradingView!  I like what I see.  But it's a lot for me to try and wrap my mind around at first.
