Did you get this sorted out?  Are you running 3.3.2?  I'm not sure if it's the exact error but sometimes I get that error when there's an open order... do you have one for NEO?

You can upgrade to v4 easily by downloading it from Github.  You should know two things:
  • Any version above 3.3.2 will not have a GUI; so managing it will be done directly in a config file
  • v5 just launched and fixed many issues in v4 (although introduced some new ones)

I'm staying with 3.3.2 until Gunthy resolves a selling error with insufficient funds even when there are enough.

So excited but now I'm refreshing my messages every 10-seconds waiting for a reply!  And... while I wait I'm looking for TradingView tutorials. Does anyone have recommendations on how to learn TradingView?

I can't speak for Poloniex.  I've seen numerous threads in Bitcointalk about Poloniex issues but I've yet to encounter them.  That being said, I did eventually move all my coins to Bittrex because of these same issues.  It's a shame because I prefer Poloniex's UI and manual trading features more than Bittrex.

I'm still a newbie when it comes to Gunbot, I've been running for about 2-weeks and tracking my Bittrex balance at the end of the day.  Some days are positive, some days are negative but the trend is about 1-2% profit a day.

My suggestion for you since you're new to crypto would be to hang out in Bitcointalk.com for a few weeks, manually trade on an exchange during that time using Gunthar's Bollinger Band trading strategy here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1715214.0;topicseen, and generally immerse yourself in crypto.  Setting up and managing the bot isn't difficult, but if you're trying to do that while also learning trading basics, and learning crypto then I don't think you'd be successful.  It'd also prove to yourself that you're serious about all this.  If after two-weeks you're not interested in it then you just save yourself the cost of a license.

Then... if all is good then hit up a reseller and purchase a license!  If you use the ones in here you'll typically get it 10% off and they help you get setup and running.

General Discussion / Re: Gunbot bought 3 lots of the same alt coin

Mine did a bunch last night, but I don't think it's 'because it looks good.'  I think it happens with it places an order and the order doesn't fill; so it places another order.  I'd consider that a bug, but I don't sweat it too much.  Typically it works out for the better, but today it didn't.  The second of the two orders was lower, but when it did eventually sell both orders it did at a net loss.  This doesn't happen too much so I'm not worrying about it because v5 is supposed to right around the corner!

What you get out of Gunbot is what you put in.  Also, it's not perfect, there are some minor bugs that you have to work around, but all this is easily avoidable with some work and attention to detail.  Also, the bot can't predict (no one can) radical swings in the market like what happened when China banned ICO's.  My bot was running over night and bought a bunch of falling knives and when I woke up in the morning I had a wallet full of loses.  That said, the market recovered over the next two days, so did my bot, and so did my profits.

However... some people don't have the patience for that and end up selling their license.  Also, don't expect 2% gains a day consistently and on your entire portfolio.  Your bot will make gains on what you give it, but it may not use your entire balance.  I'm running with about 25-pairs on a conservative strategy and my bot is typically using only about 1/4 of my BTC balance at any given time.

General Discussion / Re: Apply saved settings without restarting pair?
« on: September 05, 2017, 10:03:32 PM »
Saving the pair should add those changes to the bot's log.  When you save, you should get a message: "Config file changed, Reconfig scheduled."  If you're getting that but the numbers don't change then it's either the window isn't refreshing, or your changes aren't big enough to change the numbers (meaning what you're changing is less than another number that's driving it.)

Lastly, are you on a VPS?

Technical Support & Development / Re: 3.3.2 IS RUNNING BUT NOT BUYING
« on: September 02, 2017, 09:38:29 PM »
I run it anywhere between 2 and 3; depending on how confident I am in the coin.  For coins I don't fear plummeting any minute, I put it at 2, 3 for those I'm middle of the road, and 4 for those that had a recent run up.

If I were you, I'd move it to 2 and see what it does to your buy price.

I'm a newbie who's been obsessively using v3.3.2 for a few weeks; so take my advice for what it's worth.  It may be because you have the Buy Level set to 3; so for your bot to make a purchase, the price has to be below the Low BB price and 3% lower than the EMA.  Maybe the price recently dropped and with the Exponential Moving Average (EMA) putting more weight on the newer data points the trend line decreased and making your waiting for a purchase.  The bot may have been waiting for the trend to level or turn around before making a purchase.

OMG!  This explains everything!  If I understand this right, it explains why my first few days of Gunbot was so confusing.  I was on Bitfinex but wanted to use Gunbot so I opened an account on Poloniex and moved BTC over.  When I first ran it the bot didn't act as I expected... was it for this reason?  My first pair was a USDT_BTC pair, and I transferred BTC into Poloniex.

I got this from the VERY helpful Criptonauta; so I don't take credit for it.  But it worked for me.

Are you on a VPS?  Either way, try right clicking in the window that's not updating and click refresh.  Let me know if that updates the information.

Technical Support & Development / Re: New Exchange Request: Whaleclub

LOL, nice referral link.  Before this, I never heard of Whaleclub, so I doubt it'd be supported.  I'd want Bitfinex, or HitBTC supported before this unknown.

I really like this idea!  I've been doing this manually since I started by transferring a small amount of coin from Poloniex Exchange to Lending; but to have it automatically do it would be awesome.  There are a few coins I believe in long term holding: BTC, LTC, ETH, and Dash.

Beginners & Help / Multiple Coin Pairs??
« on: August 28, 2017, 03:46:12 AM »
I thought I read this somewhere but I'd like to verify it.  Can I run a BTC_LTC and a USDT_LTC pair on the same exchange?  Does Gunbot or Poloniex know the purchase price when a coin is purchased?

I have Bittrex and Poloniex and getting very little to no errors on both.  I'd say use either of those and you should be good!

Wow, does it really say "Error: FUCK KRAKEN"?  That makes me wonder if there's something going on with Kraken.  Is it only doing this for the BTC_LTC pair or for all of them?

Newbie here... but if it were me, I'd close the trading pair and wait for your manual sell order to clear.  Once sold then I'd restart the pair.

Beginners & Help / Re: Gunbot Configuration Guide (WIP)
« on: August 24, 2017, 04:49:12 AM »
I'm sorry... I think I need EMA stuff dumbed down a bit more for me.  I've seen pretty much everywhere that 2 and 4 is a good setting, but the GUI in v3.3.2 defaults to .02 and .04 for this setting.  Do I leave it at that or change it to 2 and 4?  Can someone explain it one more time for me please?  And I mean how Gunbot is using it not how to chart it in Poloniex.  Thanks!
