Hi - chill out please, sloaleks is a kind and helping guy.

We're all tired to help the others because official help is rare.

There is no official shop - all resellers shops are "official".
You should try to contact them, really, it's your seller, it's his job.

Otherwise, and in any case, be patient (see above)...

Hoping it helps?

Hi paramecie,

I'm very chill :)
If there is no official shop, then thecryptobot.com should probably stop advertising itself as being official. (see attached pics)

I'm sure sloaleks is a great guy, but when I'm in here looking for help, and his first reaction is to call out someone else for speaking out on the same problem, then it just makes it seem like he has an agenda other than truly caring to help. It kinda comes across as condescending.
I mean, I'm the OP and I don't care at all if someone else comes along saying they have the same problem. I hope more people do it...then it might lead to actually getting the problem addressed for us and all who follow.

As for your "contact your seller, really, it's THEIR job" response... wow... what the hell is this forum for then??

https://gunthy.org/forum/index.php/topic,2018.0.html here, the same picture. did you think you would get a faster answer if you post in two threads? stop littering the forum.

If you didn't use a reseller, how did you buy your bot??

You came into my thread not to offer any actual help, but to bitch about someone else with the same problem who also mentioned it elsewhere?
Open your eyes, dude. *I* didn’t double post anything.

Hmmm.... if not a reseller then, gee I dunno...perhaps the official Gunbot store??

Fyi, I consider YOUR posts as litter.

It would be great if someone could offer actual help or advice instead of trying to be a forum commando.

You double posted, don't do that. First of all, have you contacted your reseller?

Who double posted??

First of all, who said I used a reseller?

I've been using 3.3.2 on Windows for a while with great success, and now I'm trying to switch over to the new XT version on OS X.

It seems to be set up and working, in terms of accepting API key and secret, but when I run my "Setup", it seems to just be sitting still. The Logs window shows no activity and still says "Empty logs".

Yes, I followed the wiki setup, but that's not to say I didn't possibly miss a small detail somewhere. ;)
Anybody know of a common problem or step I might be overlooking?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Beginners & Help / Hide stickies?
« on: September 27, 2017, 05:21:01 AM »
I know the importance of stickies and all that, but is there a way to hide them?
Having to always switch to Page 2 before seeing new posts is kinda annoying.

Yes I understand all that, but what I don't understand is why it seems to be just waiting to buy at some far-off low point when I have the buy level set to 20% ABOVE the Low BB. I'm willing to pay up to Low BB + 20%. The bot seems to want to throw out some arbitrary "Price to buy" number that's way below where I'm trying to get in.

Beginners & Help / Re: BB settings
« on: September 27, 2017, 05:16:40 AM »
The Bollinger Band buy/sell % settings are supposed to be when the price reaches within whatever % you set.
Meaning buy when the price is within X% above the low BB, or sell when the price is within X% below the top. I was also confused by this at first, but it makes perfect sense. However, it seems lately like the bot is trying to buy BELOW the low BB and sell ABOVE the high BB. (this is great and all if you're down to wait and hope it reaches those low and high points to buy and sell, but pretty sure that's not how it's intended to work.)

Sorry it's wrong.
GB wil buy from ZERO up to LowBB+X%
GB will sell from HighBB-Y% up to INFINITE

There is many information on the Help/beginners section, please read.

I guess you misunderstood what I typed, because I'm pretty sure we're in agreement. I just didn't specify that Gunbot will go beyond the Bollinger bands IF it sees the opportunity.

I've noticed that even when a price is soaring above the high Bollinger band, and even if Gunbot is waiting to sell as the price climbs, a small and short dip in price will cause the bot to sell and ultimately miss out on much further soaring the price is about to do right after the small blip of a dip that caused the sale. It'd be kinda cool to have an option that lets the bot ignore small blip dips up to a small relative percentage of the climb it's been making in attempt to ride an overall wave all the way up.... Did that make sense? ;)

Beginners & Help / Re: BB levels and buy/sell levels
« on: September 26, 2017, 04:47:32 AM »
Pretty sure I saw mentioned somewhere that it will default to using the %GAIN and Buy level settings if the bot hasn't collected/calculated the Bollinger Band info yet..?

I've also noticed the bot trying to buy below the Low Bollinger Band amount it is showing, as well as trying to sell above the High Bollinger Band that the bot shows. It's not always, but it seems like more and more over the last week or so. For a while, it seemed like it was performing according to the logic/strategy settings I chose in the bot.

As far as Bittrex settings and getting the BB to match what Gunboat says... I've been using the default BB settings on Bittrex, but changing candlestick period to 15 minutes, and it often seems to be right on with what Gunbot says...sometimes not so much...

Beginners & Help / Re: Gunbot selling ALL tokens .. is this correct
« on: September 26, 2017, 04:38:28 AM »
The way I see it is

GB will buy alt coin with BTC spending the amount set with "trade limit"

then it will sell ALL the altcoin for a profit

if you already had some of the alt coin  in your account then it will sell those too

when it sells the alt it sells the whole amount in your account

you only regulate the BTC spend

Really? I thought it also sold a max amount of whatever coin that's equivalent to the Max setting (equivalent in primary coin... BTC, ETH, etc)

11
I thought I understood, but now I'm kinda confused because I was sure it seemed to be working fine until I noticed this particular instance last night...

Isn't the "% Low BB" buy setting mean that it will buy when the price is within (<=X% above) the Low BB...?

And the reverse for the High BB... it will buy when within (<=X% below) the High BB?

12
The subject kinda says it all...

I have the BB buy setting at 20%. The bot sees Low Bollinger Band as 0.00056328, yet says the price to buy is 0.00055420.

Why is it trying to buy so far below the Low BB? Isn't the 20% buy setting supposed to be 20% above the Low BB?

Any help appreciated!  Thanks :)

Beginners & Help / Re: Latest version with GUI? Windows/OS X
« on: September 18, 2017, 08:23:18 AM »
Hi.

On my Windows 7 setup (VPS on Vultr) I'm running two (2) instances of v3.3.2 and one (1) instance of 5.0.4 right now.  Might go to another instance of v5.0.4 soon.

The point is:  you don't have to choose either or.  You can run some trading strategies (or different trading pairs) on v5.0.x and run some others on v3.3.2

Are there any features of v5 that aren't in previous versions? 5 does not have a GUI, is that correct?

Beginners & Help / Latest version with GUI? Windows/OS X
« on: September 18, 2017, 03:13:34 AM »
Hi All,

New user here. Started running v3.3.2 (Windows) on Bittrex this past week and love it so far, though I feel a bit unclear on which version I should be running to get the best results.

In the download section on the Gunbut website, I saw v3.3.2 and v.5.0.4 (which was marked as "under development", so I didn't download). However, I see lots of talk about versions more recent than 3.3.2.

Should I upgrade to something newer for any reasons? I do want to maintain the GUI, unless there's a really strong reason to upgrade to a version without it.

Also, my install shows v3.3 on top, though the installer is named 3.3.2.   ?

Thanks for any help!
