Technical Support & Development / Re: GUNBOT XT freezes my whole MAC
« on: November 25, 2017, 10:46:48 PM »
No I have not ran it in the terminal as I would not of bought it without the GUI.

The bigger problem is I have messaged Gunthy multiple times with no response.  I am not the only one with this problem.

What we are attempting to do is isolate the issue. For example, if it runs fine in the terminal, we can focus our energy on the GUI for troubleshooting. I too was optimistic for the GUI and sad to find there are issues running it on my MAC but I'lll be damned if I'm not gonna run the BOT and make money while I wait for them to iron out the issues. Much to my surprise, I actually don't mind running it this way. Suit yourself.

I still don't have a solution for this and its BEYOND FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!  I've sent gunthar now 2 messages and can't even get a response.  NOT HAPPY.  My mac should have zero issues running this program yet the spinning ball of death comes in the 8-16 hr window.

Have you tried running 3.3.2 in the terminal?

Beginners & Help / Please help me understand these losses
« on: November 21, 2017, 02:02:42 AM »
Attached is a shot of my hourly bittrex spreadsheet (although I keep messing with the time intervals).

Disclaimer: I have no idea how to read the sheet.

Looking in the profit/h column we can see many losses. I was under the impression there should never be a "loss" in a complete buy/sell transaction because the BOT will only sell at a higher rate than he/she purchased at correct? So why all the losses?? Where are my actual profits (if any)?? How Do I read this damn thing?

Have you tried 3.3.2?

Have you tried running XT just in the terminal and NOT with the GUI?

Suppose I made a buy on a pair running BB and I want to change the pair to TSSLStepgain now that I'm holding. Is there any harm in doing this?

Also, what if I buy a bunch of Etherium with the intent to hold a large chunk but it is also one of my BOT pairs? Is there any harm in doing this? Will the bot start selling off my large chunk?

That's all for now. Thanks.

Beginners & Help / Re: How can I total my BITTREX profits?

Hey Cryptologist,
There is a Free Spreadsheet developed by br41nbug and later improved by Cryptosticks, its titled [FIXED] FREE BITTREX Import & Track v0.3.3
it runs on google spreadsheets. If you put in an api key from bittrex it will pull in your trades and workout how much your profit is.

You can download it here, just make sure you read the posts that follow after it to get any updated info. I've been using it without a problem for the last two days.

https://gunthy.org/forum/index.php/topic,1248.msg8751.html#msg8751

Thanks I started using it today.
Is it supposed to update every hour on its own? Or do I have to run the log every time?

Since last weekend Bittrex reduced the number of order records down from 400 to 20.

What? Holy sh*t! Way to go Bittrex. I'm sure all the users really appreciate that. Furthermore, when I download the "complete history" file it doesn't have the 'costs/proceeds' column!! This is seriously getting ridiculous. I appreciate the custom scripts people have designed but my feeling is that a person shouldn't need a special script to do simple totals. Give me my numbers and I can add the damn things myself.

Currently Bittrex isn't even showing all my completed buys. I can only get about the last 20 to show up. Even when I download the .csv, it's not complete. Bittrex support has been garbage thus far.

**BUMP**

Still have no idea how people are tracking their profits from Bittrex. This is seriously frustrating.

Why would you want to run more configs?

Maybe I'm missing something but....

It seems the settings in the .js file are global and apply to all pairs.
So what happens if I want to have LTC running a risky BB strategy and ETH running a conservative BB strategy???

How would I accomplish this??

Running GB for about 5 or 6 days now.

The first few days I could go to Bittrex/orders and see my buys and sells as well as click "csv" to get a file I could open in Xcel or Numbers. That file had a column called "costs/proceeds" just like the one on Bittrex.com. I would simply add a box with 'sum' at the bottom and hopefully this was correct.

As of yesterday my Bittrex orders page only shows about 35-40 orders (ive done over 100). When I click "load all", I get a .csv file that I can open in Numbers but this file DOES NOT have a 'costs/proceeds' column so now I am confused as to what column to sum up. ??

I have explored the Bittrex profit calculator on the community resources page but as I understand it is a live updated file that uses API key etc.. What I'm looking for is a simple way to calculate profits to date.

Thanks! Good to know.

I still can't get it to place any buys for me though.

Well, i am new to gunbot so i canīt tell about earlier versions. Actual i need to figure out a lot, but i also experienced the ram issue.

It seems to occur when bot runs for several hours; my ram is fulled to max then. It is the same on my Imac from 2009 and on the book (2014) i guess. Also the number of pairs does not really matters. I watched that behaviour for 2 pairs as well as 30 pairs.

But actual my main concern is a good strategy setting to iniate more trades per day  :)

Unless I'm mistaken, it won't matter how good your strategy settings are if the BOT renders your computer useless. Also, I could never get the XT version to initiate any buys. Running the same two pairs on 3.3.2 and get buys/sells almost instantly.

I feel like it's NOT yet stable. At least not for MAC.

This has happened a few times now.

I launch XT in the AM and go off to work for a number of hours.
When I return, my entire computer is frozen. Stuck on a spinning beach ball. No mouse movement (or extremely laggy) is possible. The only solution is forcing a hard restart.

Never had this issue with 3.3.2.

I'm only running 2 pairs and it's behaving like it's eating all my RAM or something. I am forced to stop using it.

Anyone else?

Same here. 3 days no buys in GB XT. To be fair, I'm only running 2 pairs on Stepgain though (LCT & ETH).
I'm tempted to load up 20 pairs just to test it out. How the heck do I run more than one config at once?

"1. The general consensus seems to be roughly 10-30% monthly profit"

I've never seen anyone talk about profit % here, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Perhaps nobody here wants to reveal their earnings or settings etc.. Go to youtube. You will see many gunbot users talking about (and showing) percentages.

It would seem that with the correct settings, a person should be getting at least 1% profit daily on average. 1% x 30 days = 30% monthly.
If you're not averaging at least 1% daily, you might start asking yourself what's the point?

What you get out of Gunbot is what you put in.  Also, it's not perfect, there are some minor bugs that you have to work around, but all this is easily avoidable with some work and attention to detail.  Also, the bot can't predict (no one can) radical swings in the market like what happened when China banned ICO's.  My bot was running over night and bought a bunch of falling knives and when I woke up in the morning I had a wallet full of loses.  That said, the market recovered over the next two days, so did my bot, and so did my profits.

However... some people don't have the patience for that and end up selling their license.  Also, don't expect 2% gains a day consistently and on your entire portfolio.  Your bot will make gains on what you give it, but it may not use your entire balance.  I'm running with about 25-pairs on a conservative strategy and my bot is typically using only about 1/4 of my BTC balance at any given time.

This is actually quite helpful. Thank you. I was starting to wonder if the reason people are selling their license is because of a lackluster support community. Do you mind me asking what is your average monthly return using your current config.? Also, are you running multiple exchanges? I'm still very skeptical. I was going to buy  a used Poloniex license until I had a friend not get his withdrawl from them recently. Googling "Poloniex withdrawl problems" brings back a staggering amount of results. I'm afraid to try looking up Bittrex the same way.
