Beginners & Help / TSSL logic diagram
« on: March 11, 2018, 10:00:49 PM »
TSSL strat can seem overwhelming at first, it takes some time to fully grasp how it works (at least it did for me). I created the following diagram to aid with visualizing the logic flow...

Gunbot Free Tuners

I've created free tuners for BB, BB with RSI, BB/STEPGAIN, PINGPONG, STEPGAIN, and TSSL strategies on TradingView to help visualize and optimize these in Gunbot. TradingView plugin is NOT required and this works with free account on TradingView to help you learn, see, and optimize settings for the built in strategies used in Gunbot. Enjoy!

You will need to register for an account on TradingView (free) to use these, after creating your TradingView account:

Please go here and click the upper right [Follow] button to receive notifications in TradingView whenever I do updates or release new scripts.

Go to @allanster_bot on Telegram and click the [/get_free_tuners] button and enter your TradingView profile name when asked.

Please allow some time for me to approve, I am US Central Time. I will periodically check my Telegram bot for requests, and you will be notified once you have been granted access. After receiving access read below posts for instructs on how to use.

Gunbot Deluxe Tuners

The premium editions have the ability to mix and match buy and sell strats including ADX, ATRTS, BB, BBTA, EMASPREAD, ICHIMOKU, MACD, MACDH, GAIN, PINGPONG, SMACROSS, STEPGAIN, & TSSL. They also include extra conditions: ADX, BTC_PND, EMASPREAD, MFI, RSI, STOCH, STOCHRSI, TrailMe, TakeBuy, & TakeProfit all inside one convenient script! Gunbot Deluxe Tuner BE has additional capability of sending alerts to Gunbot through the Gunbot TradingView add-on.

For info on Deluxe regular edition (backtesting only) please message me direct on Telegram: allanster

For info on Deluxe BE black edition (backtesting and alerts) click here

If you have any questions please message me direct on Telegram: @allanster

DISCLAIMER: These simulations of Gunbot contain exact same logic as Gunbot and rely on same formulas for indicators as Gunbot does. I worked closely with Gunthar and we determined that TradingView's hl/2 candle prices are closest match to Gunbot's use of bid/ask prices for buying and selling. The script logic is accurate but will not always buy or sell at the exact same prices as Gunbot because of TradingView's inability to use ticker prices, but they are as close as you can get in TradingView to the real thing.

NOTICE: By requesting access to these Gunbot Tuner scripts you acknowledge that you have read and understood that this is for research purposes only and I am not responsible for any financial losses you may incur by using them!

If you find these FREE tuners helpful and would like to buy me a refreshing beverage :)

Technical Support & Development / Vote for TV API:
« on: September 06, 2017, 02:47:16 AM »
Gunbot Release 5.x will add ability to create any strategy in TradingView pinescript, but TradingView alerts are only email or sms. If TradingView had API Alerts this would be even better.

There is strength in numbers and we are legion. If we all vote we will be #1 requested feature on TradingView and can convince TradingView developers to make this a priority.

Register free account with TradingView, you will need one anyways for when Gunbot 5 is released.

After registering on TradingView we need every user to go here... and click the [+1] button and leave a brief [Reply] as well.

Criptonauta has sent to Brazilian community and Luca has sent to Italians. (If you are bilingual please translate and post this in the other language sections).

Thanks to Berti for finding the request and thanks to everyone else for your participation.

UPDATE: We've hit page 1 and now moved up to 10th place but we must have more votes! Thanks everyone! Keep the votes coming and spread the word!

Beginners & Help / Does Gunbot sell at a loss?
« on: September 02, 2017, 12:30:45 PM »
No. Gunbot is programmed to NEVER sell at a loss. If your account starts with $1000 and you look 4 hours later and your account says $950 this does NOT mean Gunbot sold at a loss. This just means that BTC has dropped in value for the moment. See attached for further explanation.

Beginners & Help / Gunning the Multiverse with Hot Standby and Style!
« on: July 18, 2017, 08:44:13 AM »
I've realized a way to utilize PINGPONG in a manner that brings new found capabilities to Gunbot. If you are one who balks at the idea of managing individual pairs, then this will probably not be of interest to you, but if you don't mind a few minutes work up front, then you are in for a treat:

1. Create all of your preferred currency pairs (like BTC & USDT) through whatever method you prefer.

2. Remove (or better yet just comment out) strategy from ALL_PAIRS & add strategy Buy: PINGPONG 0.00000001 along with whatever Sell mode you prefer to individual pairs.

3. Open all of your multi currency pairs at once, yes that's right, all at once, BTC & USDT in perfect harmony.

Why? Because now you are in "Hot Standby" which means you will be polling and collecting data, but your multi currency pairs won't step on each other's toes because the overlapping ones are both set to Buy: PINGPONG 0.00000001 (meaning they'll never buy). Then you can change Buy: to whatever you prefer on one of the overlapping pairs without worry about putting them both into a feeding loop.

This means you won't need multiple exchange accounts. This also means when you see the market turn south and want to trade USDT, you won't need to wait hours for BB data to generate on your USDT pairs, they are "Hot" and ready. Also maybe you have pairs that you "sometimes" run, you can now have those hounds ready to release at a moment's notice as well. Want to try a new strategy out on just one pair? Check. Want to tune each pair for movement? Check.

For the last part of the title I mentioned Style!... subjective yes but if you can't appreciate the beauty that is Gunthy GUI then you don't have any :p

4. Buy Gunthy GUI...

Using Sjakil's elegant code, you have the means to easily toggle individual pair settings all from within one luxurious console masterfully crafted from the finest bits of zeros & ones to ever cross your screen... and now you are Gunning the Multiverse with Hot Standby and Style!

(Notice: No pairs were harmed or made to do battle with each other in the making of this thread.)

Technical Support & Development / Feature Request: Add SMA Variable
« on: July 10, 2017, 10:54:41 PM »
I have spent an enormous time trying to find the simple answer of what SMA Gunbot uses in it's calculations. Without this number we are flying blind when trying to visually strategize.

It would be nice for Gunbot to allow us to optionally set the SMA just as it allows us now to set EMA and Candles. This way we could know with whatever charts we were using that Gunbot would be deriving off of the same indicators as what we were actually seeing.

I would like very much to be able to tweak settings and not have to wait several hours to see their impact. Is there some way that we could PLEASE get backtesting?

@Gunthar - I saw one of your posts where you gave us a link to TV where we could see what Gunbot sees?...

Another question - In the above chart you have setting of (ohlc4, 10, 20) but I thought we were setting as vwa?

Could you explain if there's anyway for us to do our own backtesting, it sure would cut down on your level of support requests.

This is a tough one, not sure how you would police, but it would sure be nice for both parties if we could add/remove subkeys without having to go through Gunthar. Less work for him and less pain/wait for us.

You are policing this now by some method, I am assuming that method could be automated.

Technical Support & Development / Feature Request - API Gauge
« on: July 01, 2017, 12:30:55 AM »
Need way to monitor realtime API requests per exchange and preferably switch to auto warn/prevent user from starting additional pairs.

Gunthar has with good reason warned us against violating excessive calls, we as users need an optional "Mommy" to keep us in line.

Technical Support & Development / How Coinigy has solved 422 blues...
« on: June 30, 2017, 09:57:18 AM »
Coinigy has seemed to gotten around this issue buy allowing multiple "sub-keys" and rolling through them. I would like to know if this could potentially fix these problems with Gunbot as well. Experienced users please give me your thoughts. Thanks!
