thanks, makes sense.
There is obviously also the stop limit parameter in misc settings. In my case that's set to 60% anyway.
So I guess when using, say, a 10x leverage and setting stop buy and stop sell in the margin settings to 6 would achieve the same result, only it would put the stop on BitMex's order book when opening the position whilst gunbot would look after the stop limit parameter itself?
Might be interesting to have it on the order book as an insurance if gunbot is offline for some reason.

Hi Larz, for Margin trading, when you use stop_limit from "Misc" tab, it's executed when the ROE reachs the amount you set.

If you want to leave the stop loss placed as "insurance", you can use stop loss buy and sell from "Margin" tab.

Hi, it depends on what strategy you want to execute. The bot will always try to sell with profit, which is good, but it also can lead to get some bags, if you don't want to deal with bags, you can use stop loss or Reversal trading.

I'm interested in using a bot to trade in cryptocurrencies and the only thing that's keeping me from buying the bot offered by you is the fact that the code is not open source. I'm not doubting the integrity of the developers but what kind of control do they have have over my api?

Hi, same as any other app, it needs to connect through api keys. That's the way the bot is able to trade. Note that there is no need to activate withdrawal permissions to your api key.

Does GunBot make just micro trades (eg a few dollars profit per day) or is there a possibility to set the bot up that as more gain the bot makes, as higher the volume is the that the GunBot trades?

Kinda like:
500$ BTC portfolio (approx. 7.5$ gain per day with a 1.5% growth rate)
2500$ BTC portfolio (approx. 37.50$ gain per day with a 1.5% growth rate)
10000$ BTC portfolio (approx. 150$ gain per day with a 1.5% growth rate)
and so on

Hi, the growth rate depends on the trading strategy you choose and the pairs you trade with (same as happens when trading manually). Apart from that, it's easier to get trading opportunities for lower volumes. For example, suppose the bot wants to buy cheap LTC and the cheapest price is 0.0124 btc... but can only buy 0,10 btc worth BTC of it. Obv if your trading_limit is 0.30 btc, you won't be able to get 0.30 btc at that price, you can choose either to get it more expensive or just buy 0.10 btc worth LTC.

What I mean is, the growth rate could decrease if your trading amount is very high. I'm not talking about 0.10 or 0.50 btc, but if your trading amount is 5 btc, it's normal to see a slightly worst ratio than when trading 0.40 btc. In this case, your best bet is to split your trading activities between several exchanges.

There are some trading strategies, like MACD, that buy every time buy conditions are met, unlike most of the other strategies that enter sell mode after buying.

On a related note (and I think the OP has the same problem), what to do if my reseller is no longer trading? I have contacted another reseller who has kindly registered my wallet and API (Bitrex) key, but I don't think will be able to issue the tokens? Or have I got this wrong?

Once your api is linked to your Gunthy wallet, the tokens arrive automatically. It usually takes some hours to arrive because token withdrawals are manually verified, but you don't need to do anything but to wait for the tokens to arrive.

Regarding disappered resellers, better to choose a well-known and active reseller like https://gunbot.shop

Just saw the message that cryptopia is stopping. I -and many others- were using GunBot on cryptopia. Any chance on some kind of gesture from GunBot to get us goin on a new exchange?

New license system allows to swap between exchanges. Even if you have Standard, you can use any exchange you want.

Ok, after many try, I switched to Telegram to get more help.
Aitor found me my reseller and all others problems were solved by creating a new API and switching back and forth. And using latest Gunbot version

Just to summarize the most common license related problems:

1- Your binance api doesn't exist. Note that after Binance latest security issue on 7th May 2019, all the old apis were removed. The way to fix it is to create a new api and add it from "Swap exchanges" in your bot GUI

2- You are using an old Gunbot version and you don't even have a Gunthy wallet. Note that:

a) You need to create a Gunthy wallet if you don't have one yet:

Node.js is included in the bot, no need to install it.
Try removing the files placed in "Json" directory and gunbotgui.db
And upgrade to latest version:

I was using Gunbot with no problem on that VM but I stopped it for licence problem (still not resolved, see my previous message, waiting for Aitor answer who got my key and wallet address...)

Regarding the error msg above, it can be caused by several things, most of the times it happens when you have "Multiple_base" parameter activated while you are only running 1 base coin.

when you purchased your gunbot license you should have received a few emails relating to the transaction.
check your spam folder, or cross-reference the website to the reseller list provided on the wiki.

Maybe I should be clearer....
I dont have any email or anything related to the first (initial) licence.
I just have information for the additional one.
