The subject said 'use an older mac'.   Depending on how old your "older mac" is I'd recommend you look into getting a cheap PC.

Especially if you want to run in BB mode with more than just a few trading pairs.

General Discussion / Re: Why are people selling Gunbot?
« on: August 25, 2017, 01:43:19 PM »
Yeah, best to ask from the people selling.

Follow the AltPocket.io link in my signature and you'll be able to follow my trades in with the GunBot.  I've only had the GunBot running for less than a week.

On AltPocket.io you can look at my profile -- focus on the "SOLD investments".  The "ACTIVE PROFIT" is negative because the bot won't sell until it's profitable (or loses around 60% value because that's the way I set it).

I'm sure others in this forum are doing much better than I am!

Thanks for explaining, GuyTheGuy.

I'm running 3.3.2 now.  Still running it in BB mode exclusively.

Beginners & Help / Re: How does Gunbot react on external interference?
« on: August 25, 2017, 12:56:45 AM »
If the buy-sell order has been transmitted to the exchange it will remain.  If the Gunbot was watching the price (but hadn't executed a buy-sell order yet) then you'd have a problem.   i.e. You could buy in to a certain pair (let's say BTC-NEO) and, if you lost connection, you'd be unable to get out (sell).

Long story short:  the bot can't trade automatically if it can't see the market.  I suggest you get a VPS.  I'm using Vultr.  Have Windows 7 running 4 cpu system with 4 GB RAM.  The extra CPUs and RAM make the Gunbot sing.

Nice!  I got this tool working on my Windows 7 VPS.  Took a bit of playing around with the font and window size settings to make it readable.

Thanks for the hard work on this great tool.

I bought a Bittrex license for GunBot about two days ago and got it running rather quickly on a Windows 7 VPS.  I only funded the Bittrex account with around .17 BTC and .75 ETH.

I've been pleasantly surprised by the AltPocket.io website and thought I'd share.

Easily pulls data from Bittrex (and/or Poloniex) and tracks the alt coinage.

Here's a link.  It tracks people who sign-up under me... but, as far as I know, it's not monetized.... so I won't be butt hurt if you don't use my special little link.

More info needed.  Running linux or windows?  On your own local machine or a VPS?

Technical Support & Development / Re: Invalid licence contact gunthar
« on: August 22, 2017, 05:09:32 AM »
Did you contact Gunthar and give him your API key?  (Not your API secret key but the main API key).

He needs to enter that into the system.

If you already contacted Gunther and he's entered your API key then make sure you don't have a space character around your API key when you cut-n-paste.

Hi.    Yes, Bittrex will only show your API keys once.

I suggest you go back into your Bittrex account and generate a new set of API keys?  (And then let Gunthar know so he can change your license?)

Great response!

And, as someone looking to acquire a cheap Bittrex license... something I'll definitely think about!

  8)

This is a common mistake made by a lot of people entering this market now.

If you plan on buying through a reseller then choose wisely, some offer a lot more help than others. I would avoid any reseller that say "set it at this and leave it" especially in the market we are currently in BTC is hitting ATH more and more so settings from last week/month aren't going to fit todays market.

If you are trying to get a license cheap by buying someone's unwanted one then you had best be prepared for a big learning curve.

Its unfortunate that you had this experience but I am glad that you shared it with others so they can educate themselves and make some wise choices for their future.

PM me I might be able to offer some advice about managing those bags.
