Newbie here. Looking forward to getting started
« on: June 14, 2017, 07:39:10 PM »
Hi all,

Thought I'd just introduce myself.
I've been interested in crypto for a couple of years now, on and off. Recently, I've started mining Ethereum and Zcash with the hardware I have available (old gaming PCs), and things are going well. I like putting a lot of my free time into researching things that I'm interested in.
As a result, I've put a lot of research recently into trading crypto.

I'm trying to make a bit of cash on the side - I'm already doing matched betting, but it's a quiet time of year, so profits are slim - plus, most of the events take place when I'm at work. So, I'm interested to see where this takes me.

Although I have a small (very, very small) portfolio of crypto, this will be the first time I've used any of it, so, bear with me!

Some questions, if I may:
1) bitify - is this a legit place to purchse the program? I've not used it before, maybe just because I've not spent crypto before.
2) I plan on running it on my Ubuntu box, will the version from bitify work on Ubuntu?
3) I'm assuming that the version on bitify is the latest version - 3.3.2?

4) It works by trading pairs of currency, correct? Does the program license work for 1 currency pair, or multiple pairs?
5) Does GunBot re-invest your profits, or is it a good idea to shut it down daily, readjust the numbers, and start it back up?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!
Chris

You can dowload GB at: https://github.com/GuntharDeNiro/BTCT/releases/
but you may contact Gunthar, I think you can PM him, for register your API Key(s). Or use bitify if you want.
There are three marketplaces (Poloniex, Kraken and Bittrex) with which GB works. So choose an exchange and create an API Key (enable trading but no withdrawall it's important) and send it to Gunthar (not the Secret Key). Each market cost 0.1btc, include life updates, and you can trade all the pair your PC/server can. The limit is your RAM. GB works fine on Linux.

Hope that help you, and sorry for my bad english ;)

Thanks for the reply.

I've purchased it via bitify, and am awaiting GunBot as we speak.

Will update with how I get on  :D

Waiting on Gunthar to get back to me with my license information.
I just downloaded "Gunbot 3.3.2 - Poloniex/Bittrex Patch" from the https://github.com/GuntharDeNiro/BTCT/releases

It looks like it's a full release...(?)

Is this just a patch or do the "patch" update releases contain the full release?

I directly paid Gunthar without Bitify or any other escrow. If you read his posts on Bitcointalk and in this forum, you should see that he isn't a scammer. Of course, there is no guarantee, but if you can avoid services like Bitify you should do it, because they take fees for the payment, and this fees should go into Gunthar's pocket I think.

Thanks for the reassurance, freelunch!

I'm not super concerned, honestly. I went direct via PM for that very reason, too. More money in his pocket for a great product.
Looking forward to his adding my license and getting going. Cheers!

Every new release contains the main program and the patches already applied to it.

So no worries, you will be perfectly able to run Gunbot from the file you've downloaded.
