Technical Support & Development / Re: Feature request: Keep BTC-Balance
« on: August 29, 2017, 03:36:56 PM »
how about using override on the offending pair? for example, from the moment you decide to wait for a price spike on a coin paired to your primary, set in the config an override of GAIN to a very high to possibly insanely high number. now, if the coin reaches this insanely high number and the bot sells, you have made an insane profit, which is what you want anyways. if not, the coin holds and you can sell manually at a sligthly less insane gain (if you are not sure of the surge height). would that work for you?

502
I think this is due to trendwatcher. If the bot complied on the first trade gain, IE earning the set gain, it will start another cycle if the trend is upwards. If the trend is down, it will wait with a buy. This way you can ride a price spike almost all the way up.

503
I run all pairs in one folder. You can condition different pairs to an extent using override. Also you can run every pair on its own strategy. This is enough for me, as I run all pairs on basically the same proven way.

General Discussion / Re: Minimum BTC to run Gunbot to make profit?
« on: August 29, 2017, 11:56:36 AM »
my view:
there is no trial version. you buy the license(s) for one (or more) exchange(s) you plan to use for your trades. then you send your API key from the chosen exchange to the author of the gunbot to get activated. download, configure and let it do its thing, possibly never turn it off. you run it 24/7/365. bot will start trading. if you buy a new license it will generally set you back 0.1 BTC, but you can buy a second hand license cheaper here on the forum (just make sure via gunthar that it is a legit license). use the rest of you money for trades (more than enough for a start, perhaps disable "double up"). I have run it with more than 10 times less than you have. It does not matter, you can set the trade value in BTC as low as your exchange will allow. I ran it with 0,003 BTC per trade on Kraken, it ran just fine on five pairs with 0,015 BTC capital on disabled double up. Running it with smaller value trades is advisable in the beginning as you learn the bot's responses to market swings and as you tweak the strategies to suit your trading style. When you get consistent results you are happy with, you can set trade values higher and maybe inject some more capital in your trade account.

General Discussion / Re: Best exchange to Run Gunbot

Not to say that the bot is totaly unusable on K.. It works just as well, providing the order book and market data are fed back in a regular manner. Version 4.0.5 is a little bit better on K., but i'm still getting some "fuck kraken"s and another error (can't remember exactly what kind).

506
Check if you have the ema lines in the BB strategy? I copied the ema lines from GAIN into BB and set ema 1 to 4 and ema 2 to 2.
Like so:
"EMA1": 4,
"EMA2": 2,

Hit save and let it go.

Using the BB setting that was already in the config, just added EMA1 and EMA2 lines to the strategy. Running 4 pairs for now, notmuch capital you see. GNO, LTC, ETC and REP, all vs BTC.
This thing is racing, the GUI versions can't keep up with this machine, at least on Krak.

Well, found out: Kraken is on "maintenance" tonight.

***MAINTENANCE ANNOUNCEMENT***

Kraken is presently offline for maintenance.

While maintenance is underway, the website and API will not be reachable, and orders will not be able to be placed or canceled.

actually, not entirely true. kraken makes it hard running without errors.

513
And now I'm getting this salad here:

What is going on?????

Since this morning I keep getting this most of the time :

++2017/08/26 17:06:13 Error: Error in server response: {"code":"ESOCKETTIMEDOUT","connect":false}
!!! Cycle 5 failed. Will repeat in 60s

Yesterday it ran fine. I tried different time delay price settings, nothing seems to work. It's really frustrating, as most of the time I get failed cycles. The result is of course a lot of missed opportuinities as the bot simply fails buys, or if bought it doesn't sell, even at 10% gain, so I have to do it manually. What went wrong now?

515
I run a WIN 10 pc, 2core processor with 4 GB of ram. Runs 10+ pairs with no observable trouble. For more pairs, or even 2 exchanges, I would opt for a 4core, 8GB machine.

Technical Support & Development / Re: on bittrex while getting ema1
« on: August 24, 2017, 11:25:21 AM »
by yesterday gunny should have sold at profit, albeit the choice of pairs was not optimal for the bot. I'm presumin you looked at candles on the 22nd, when after 0400 gmt ltc began its journey down.

517
Hmm. Mine is also not doing trades today, but it is a downward market. To play downward trends you need a lot of liquidity in the primary, which I don't (I have about 6 trades left of BTC, everything else is in the bags now, and I run BTC pairs only). I think you should let it run and set time delay price somewhat higher perhaps. Say 100 instead of 60. Let it run normal working days, weekends are bad specially in a downward market.
As for crashes, have you looked if there are any patches for your version? I run an older version 3.2 on win10, quite stable.
EOS wise, even other bots don't run all pairs on all exchanges. I personally don't think EOS is a very suitable everyday trading coin yet, and also it is playing down like the rest. This one requires a lot of patience on trading. During last week I saw quite a lot of bot trading on ETH.

518
Maybe delete the -save.json files for the offending pairs and start then fresh. Since you're not running the bot for a long time there is not a lot of damage. I am also having trouble getting the real BTC balance on the bot from kraken this weekend. I made two manual sales of some dust. The first registered and the seacond did not. I fear it has something to do with Kraken's API call limitations. The API call counter reaches 15 accesses, then it suspends API calls for 15 minutes, for my tier2 user. Also it deducts 1 call every 3 seconds, but if you run a lot of pairs you can use up the calls quickly and then nothing happens for 15 minutes untill the counter resets to 0.
Regarding the price, I would say GB is very cheap. Blade Runner for Kraken, for example, you rent for 0.013 a month + cryptotrader fee ... granted it has 5 trading modes built in, but in GB you can make infinite trading modes.

519
a really nice video! thank you for your efforts.

Beginners & Help / Re: Config settings for total noob
« on: August 12, 2017, 05:29:21 PM »
I am currently running 10 pairs on Kraken and I consider myself lucky if i get 10 trades a day out of this. Kraken is slow this time of year, and specially on weekends. Also the market has a word in all this. I'm runnig pure BB, 40-40, buy 0.1 and gain 1 or 2, depending on coin.
