GunBot failed to sell.

PROLOGUE:
GB version 3.3.2
Standard setting, StepGain strategy with buy and sell levels all at 1 1 1 , for emulating a 1000Trades.
At the end I tried to switch at GAIN with 1 1 values to say to GB "sell!" (wrongly passing from BB strat)

EPILOGUE:

Yesterday evening I had a chat with Gunthar, which I thanks for his time and will to explain, and I understood the fact.
I think that sharing what's happened -or at least what I've understood- with the community can be helpful for anyone whi can occur in a situation like this and have no clue about the failed sell.

First thing to consider:
Last Price is a tricky number. It shows the last closed contract, but is not mandatory correlated to BID/ASK markets. So if a currency have a wide spread between bid/ask, LP have little meanings. That was not the strict case, since market was rising so LP was accepted for sure, but is a statement that has to be remembered.

Most important thing, and directly involved in this situation:
GunBot has a built-in Trend Watcher.
This means that the Bot will consider your parameters but, as stated, try the "or better" chanche of it.

Let's have a look.

Cycle 15: Bot sees that LP was < than Price To Buy, and Price is growing.
So the BOT tried to compile the buy order. Imho, if the Price was falling, maybe the BOT should have waited for buying better, but that's only my supposition with no consistency in this example.

Cycle 24: the key reasoning of GB!

As you can see, LP fulfill the prSell... BUT GunBot sees that Price is growing, so decided to NOT sell and try to get a better price. Also, Gunthar said me that even if not showed in the log, GunBot also looks at Volume of trading, and if it's growing or reducing.

Cycle 25:

Now you see that Price to Sell has been updated at Cycle 24 Last Price, so GunBot try to get a better deal.
That's why GB see a market with Growing Price (and probably Volumes not reducing) so with a possible better deal that required.

Also in the following Cycles, PrSell updates itself to former cycle's last price. So basically the bot is "ignoring" my modest 1% requested gain and try a better deal for me, with ofc increased gains.

Cycle 34:

Price is no more increasing, but fall a bit but is a so little correction that is considered steady.
Bot decided to stay.

Later on, price falls HARDLY (we can consider a mini-dump) and Bot is taken off guard.
LP reconsider itself on the former one, 'cause is still over the minimum parameter I set, but found no matching during the dump.

Here I can say that there's the only doubt left open in our chat, because I don't understand why BOT has not sell after a Rise and a Fall. As Gunthar said, there are some evalutation done on the array of +/- about Price and Volume.

Later on, the Dump continues and bot is Game Over.
I placed a manual order and stop.
Actually indeed, knowing how bot works, I would let it go no matter what.

Looking at the logs, Gunthar confirmed me that if Price had not fallen so rapidly, is sure that GB would have fulfilled a sale, and also I have to point out that I've never ever thought that GB is broken or doesn't work.

Finally, the point in this story is Trend Watcher, that has not sold at my parameter because he was doing better, but was taken on surprise by the dump.
I'm sure that for a missed spot like this, in many other spots it would create sweet extra-gains that compensate or even better, but I'm also aware that -like ME- many other should not catch Trend Watcher workout immediately.

Gunthar said me that in the next release, TW will be optionally turnable on/off, so ppls can decide to resign possible extra gains by having their parameters as mandatory no matter what the market is going, but at least avoiding any possible harsh falls.

PS: Gunthar, if you read this ... if I manually switched to PINGPONG SELL strategy placing in Sell Price the Last Price while Market was rising (so no problem in fullfilling the order), will Trend Watcher overrid also with this strategy or instead PingPong is Mandatory?
